  1. How's all the mummy to be's going. Have you got any tell tail signs as yet? Kimba is starting to get sooky. Didn't think she could get any more than she already is She gave me the ultimate stare last night. Just stared at me for hours. And her belly is going pinker by the day. Guess we will know for sure on Friday.
  2. I think you will find that he had them clipped before Cesar got him. He was a lovely dog and Cesar's best mate.
  3. Ok, i have just taken our first lot of bell shots. She will be 3 weeks and 3 days from first mating and 3 weeks from the second mating.
  4. Only 6 days ( not counting or anything ) till ultrasound. I'm trying not to get my hopes up to much as I really am looking forward to this litter and will be a disapointment if she is just having a phantom. I have been planning this litter for a while but was just waiting for the Ode man to mature.
  5. I might have to start taking belly shots of Kimba. She already looks quite large, has big titties which have gone bit pink. And eat, she is hungry all the time.
  6. Adults is from 2%-3% depending on if they are of good weight, bit over weight or underweight. Puppies are from 5%- 10%. I give Phina, nearly 6 months, 6% most days but if she wants more then she gets a little more. And I think she has good weight on her.
  7. We wont be showing for a while. Ody got out (dont ask) and got rear ended by a car Bout 3 weeks ago. Well it looks that way. He had bleeding from his behind, and also was peeing blood for 4 days. He also had alot of grazes all over him. He is alot better now but still not 100%. Still favouring his right rear hind leg a bit. So taking it easy for a while. Oh and the morning of his accident, I mated him and Kimba so I am hoping for little Ody+Kimba puppies early April We will do the Gero Champ Show here in May. Hopefully Ody is 100% by then.
  8. Well seeing as Ody chose his 'staffy ball' over a very in season Kimba, I would have to say his is his staffy ball Kimba's is absolutley anything that can be thrown Cynda's would have to be her 'home alone' toy. Oh, just remembered, the hose comes first :D then her home alone toy And Phina, well, her favourite toy is anything that Kimba has and anything that she is not allowed to have. Like Toilet paper
  9. Done but I hope I got it right. Correct me if I am wrong
  10. I just have a query for those of you that feed raw and have litters. When you wean the pups, do you also feed them raw or do you start them off on dry? I am just thinking of when their new owners take them and that it might be easier for them to feed dry and raw as they might not be able to have access to some raw foods. Also if you do feed dry, what one do you use?
  11. We have a local pet shop and every time I go in there, which is alot when you are being nosey, (never buy anything though) they always have pups, kittens, chooks, birds, and those bloody stinkin ferrets. You can smell them a mile away. The animals are not always healthy, kittens have sore eyes, pups shitting everywhere. And some of the prices they put on those pups

  13. I have been lurking in here for a while getting my puppy fix Congratulations on all the new arrivals Lolaps, so sorry about your little bubba's Hope Mr Stubbs continues to strive. I can hopefully add to the April litters soon.
  14. I have done alot of research also and also alot of trial and error. Now after 4 months I have everything right and my dogs have never looked better. I do ratio of 40% rmb, 40% muscle meat, 10% vegie slops with added supliments and 10% offal mix. They used to turn their noses up at the vegie mix, but I added a spoonful of natural yoghurt and mixed it in altogether and I now have no problems at all. The muscle meat I am feeding is mainly donkey, roo and goat and sometimes they will have heart. RMB is minced chicken carcusses and also bones (roo tails, chicken necks, lamb bones) It might take a while for your pup to get used to it and for you to get it right, but the outcome is Good Luck.
  15. Thankyou, I think this is the one I looked into before and Im sure I got a quote for approx $65 p/m per dog.
  16. I have been also looking onto pet insurance for a while, but just haven't found the right one. ANy could of helped recently as my boy was hit by a car Does anyone know which one would be the best that covers everything including lost/theft? I haven't one that covers that also.
  17. I was like you a few months ago. Deciding whether or not to take the plunge to raw and then researching heaps to try and get it right. It has taken about 2 months with alot of mixing different batches to get it just right. I go on the percentage of bodywieght too. I started off at 2.5% and if they were gainng to much, then I would drop it to 2% or up the percentage if they were loosing it. I have our 5 month old pup on 5%. Their diet consitsts of: 40% rmb ( kangaroo tails, minced chicken carcusses, chicken necks, chicken frames) 40% muscle meat ( donkey, goat, roo, hearts) I dropped the portion of roo and upped the donkey 10% offal mix (liver, tounge, kidney, etc) 10% vegie slops (usually changes every batch in accordance to what I have in the fridge) In their vegie slops I add their sunflower oil, whole raw eggs, and additional suppliments. Twice a week they will get a fish meal, sardines, salmon. As I said, it does take a while for them to settle on it and for you to get it right. And each dog is different and may need more or less of some things. Good luck
  18. I would of loved to go. I haven't been to the western classic before. But seeing as though the staffords are only on the Friday then the Monday, and we are from Geraldton, there is no chance Maybe next year.
  19. That poor dog :D . They definately need harsher punishments enforced in Australia for any type of abuse. To many low lifes know that they can get away with virtually murder here.
  20. I feed pretty much the same as everyone else. I switched them over a few months ago. They were getting dry as well. Now they get: 40% muscle meat (donkey, goat, hearts and little roo and camel) 40% minced chicken frames, or equivelent rmb)chicken necks, lamb shanks, etc) 10% offal mix(liver, kidney, etc) 10% vegie mix (carrot, zucchini, apple, broccoli, squash, pumpkin)with added sunflower oil, whole eggs, this is all blended up into a slop then frozen. They also get a couple of meals a week of fish: sardines, tuna, salmon. Usually whatever is on special... And they get a dollop of natural yoghurt also. sometimes they will get rmb in the morning and other meat meal at night. But most days they get 2 split meals The vegie slops usually changes to what ever I have in the fridge and the freezer.
  21. Where are all the barf feeding dolers gone I just thought that since I have been feeding complete raw, my dogs have gloomed from nose to tail Their coats are just glossening(sp), and they are just so much happier. Our new little girl is on the barf diet too and I have noticed a significant change in her coat colour. From a light fawnny red to a nice rich red. They love tucker time and are always in their crates waiting for their dinner.
  22. We are all sending our healing thoughts for Grover and hope he makes a quick recovery ;) . for you and your family.
  23. I have always fed roo tails too. My pet food supplier has them all the time and they are only $3 a bag of about 5 pieces. My lot have them a couple of days a week.
  24. Hi All, I am really wanting to enter the western classic but there is a catch, Staffords are on the Friday and the Monday so I will have 2 days of what i dont know. So we might have to miss that one I think. Our next one is 'The Puppy Of the Year' which Cynda has qualified for and then I will go to the fundraiser double header on the Sat and Sun. I am going to try and get to most of the double headers next year hopefully. If any one is going to any of the above shows, 22,23,24 January, will see you there...
