Rare Or Disqualifed Colours In Breeds.

I think I have a mental image of that one. There's a new one being shown in the Southern NSW / Canberra area... ;) But he's still only a baby... ;) :p if this pic isn't in the sighthound forum then it needs to be. he's looking good. -
where in qld do you titre? thats a good price.

thanks for all the replies. He did eat some raw fish for the first time so that may be a cause. not sure about the anal gland, i've never seen him clean back there ever, don't think he can reach as odd as that sounds.

I know that stinky breath can be caused by an infection in the mouth but is there any other cause. I can't see anything wrong in his mouth, just a bit of plaque build up.

nuheart is a tablet that just does heartworm

x 2 Oberon is just beautiful awww! thanks guys. I think he's pretty special. -
my happy boy love the nose

I'm wondering whether going on advantix which repels mosquitoes would do the job. if the mosquitoes don't bite then he cant get heartworm right? not sure i'd be good at a once daily thing.

I was using nuheart (an ivermectin based heartworm tablet) but i'm pretty sure my boy has an allergic reaction to it. he gets various lumps(sometimes turn into sores) on his chest, neck and abdomen. always seems to coincide with giving him his monthly tablet. Are there other options that don't contain ivermectin and are for heartworm only. I'm usinfg drontal for his other worming. I'm open to alternative/natural options also.

My boy loves Kangaroo. am i right in thinking its higher in protein than most meats?

Oberons fave is snow peas. he doesn't care for other vegies and fruits.

Thanks Alyosha, good to see what you use.

Personally i'd got for a house/pet sitter, preferrably someone you know. we did this recently and just let some friends stay, look after the dog and eat and drink what they wanted to. worked out well for us and them.

Thats awesome. I'd be super excited too. Congratulations!!

love that second shot Terranik.

with aust bred does the dog just need to be born in oz or do both his parents need to be born in oz?
-
Whats everyones thoughts on mud, dirt and a dogs coat. Its less than a week till our next show and it is very wet and muddy up here. Oberon seems to need his zoomies or some activity but the red mud sprays up under him. Should i wash it out every time it happens? use shampoo or just water or alternatively restrain him in the house for the next 4 days?
-
i'm trying to understand these ones. why would you enter in these? whats the benefit? Having multiple dogs the same age, none of which are eligible for Aust bred or (obviously!) State bred, these classes are a god-send! so its for the ease of handling? that makes sense.

Hitting The Ring For The First Time
pixie_meg replied to angelsophie's topic in General Dog Discussion
you sound like me. except i have a junior dog and just had my first show 2 weeks ago. its so much easier once you do it once. I have my second show next weekend. just need to remind myself to relax. -
does the effect of the whitener still remain if you then wash with a different shampoo for the second wash. just curious as i'd like to use it on his neck but also use the long coat shampoo for the second rinse but didn't know if that'd make the first wash pointless.
-
i found this in the CCCQ rules book from that i'd say the whitener would be fine since it is not a dye or bleach and does not remain on the dog. Really it just makes the hair very clean and bright. not permanently altering the coat.

does anyone use a shine spray?
