If that was my horses there would not be fat labs cause they would not have got near it horses would have ate the lot

Bonnie has actually bought back the chicken variety and apparently does not give the runs like the working. Mel Optimum used to be in a dark green bag called, damn now I have forgotten, if I remember I will post.

I had to give my Hills puppy away and here it cost 138.00 to buy, they refuse to eat showcoat. Royal Canine is about 130.00 here but my cats luv it. At the moment I am paying 82.95 for euk as the vet has it on special. Doberdave if you can find a pal rep that is where you will get optimum cheaper. My friend also feeds her shepherds optimum as she lives on the coast and it is cheaper there, read the ingredients and like any dry food introduce slowly. cheers wendy

Try OPTIMUM I buy it from the vet( I happen to live in the back of beyond) about $70.00 when I bring it back from the coast I pay $60.00. It is a premium food and you can buy the smaller bags from Woolies. Try one of those 1st to see how it goes. I find Optimum and Euk do the same weight wise and coat wise. My friend has a dobe fed on optimum and he is great,

Dear Abby My golden girl who had to go, the day we had to part was heavy on my heart, to watch those golden eyes slowly fade and dim was heartwrenching. We took you home and placed you where you always liked to lay. Under the tree in the back corner where we gave you your own space. Away from pain you went and up on the clouds afar. At least you are now with your brother and your pal Toby (Ch Aranyoz Codys Kid) You left a gaping hole in the hearts you held for so long. Even R & T cried that day, they still remember when they were kids when you come along. Your presence holds a special place in our hearts, you look out for Toby and Riley now until we meet again old girl. your loving family.

When our horses get badly matted tails I rub throug a bottle of baby oil leave for awhile then rake out with my fingers wash like hell to get the oil out then brush the tail works every time I dont know if it will do the same on a shepherds coat, also do it to my Turkish van.

Chewy is home after the dye and xrays, they still do not know what is wrong with her but are guessing that it appears that she gets build up of gasses in the stomach and the acids are eating the stomach lining. She is on antibiotics and a white meat diet and daily observation. If she is still sick after 7 days they want to do surgery. But the vet thinks it is like bowel disease in humans. Hope all goes well.

Thanks dolers Chewy is on a drip and the vet has started her on antibotics today, They have also put in some dye and will rexray tomorrow. The vet said the lining of her stomach appears to be red raw. All poisons have been ruled out. Mary (sis) is also going to ask about HG and also hookworm even though she is regularly wormed. Will let you know what the vet said tomorrow once again thanks.

My sisters 9yo Foxi is at the vets and they can not find out what is wrong with her, here are the symtoms has any one have any ideas. She is puking and shatting everywhere looks like black stuff. she was taken to the vet on Friday and is still there, they have her on a drip and have done blood tests which showed high red blood cells. on Saturday they gave her a teaspoon of chicken and rice and she started puking an shatting again, they have xrayed her which shows no blockage and more blood tests which have now showed her having high white blood cells. The vet can not find anything wrong with her so please if you have any ideas would be great, The bill is already up to 800.00.

I gave mine to the pound and bought euk man what an expensive little exercise that was.

I had a vizsla with a chronic ear problem was at the vet every second day cost a fortune with all these different ear cleaners drops etc I even went as far as to have his ears cleaned out under anesthetic all to no avail. A friend of mine said to wash his ears out with malaseb which I did daily for a week then 2nd day for a week and guess what, it cleared it nearly all up, he still had a slight problem but no where as bad as what it was. I used to do it fortnightly then and until he passed no more stick or shaking the head crying. I also put him on Eukanuba. Oliver had pussy eyes and a hot spot I took advice from this forum and washed eye with salty water, and betadine on the hot spot cleaned it up for a few days, but I then put him back on eukanuba and now his eyes are clear again, no more hot spots and has stopped scratching, so maybe it may also have a lot to do with his diet.

My three think it is just great so now the litter tray is in the laundry with a kiddy door up at night time so they can't get to it. They always want to give kisses after being there yuk.

Steve great story and what a result I would love to do what you do but probably not smart enough we hire electronic bark collars for consistant barkers with about a 99% rate of sucess. Slowone Toffee is absolutely gorgeous I am glad it worked out for all concerned. :rolleyes:

My friend has her cat on it, it took a few months but she has stopped peeing on cars but she is still as vocal as ever SIAMESE.

I have never had an old GSD and I don't want Kim, Oliver and Elka to get old, but my old Vizsla pts 13.5 years was on sashas blend for a long time it is good for the joints ask your vet about the liquid supplement it has a pic of a gsd on the label. My friend has a 13.5 gsd and she gets sashas blend and even though slow still plays with the others but she does sleep a lot. Hope you have him longer cheers
