I dealt with two puppy farms in Gippsland (possibly the one described above) and the conditions were deplorable. And I PERSONALLY accompanied the farmer on several of her deliveries to pet shops in Melbourne. I would happily name the shops and locations to anyone interested too.

Yep, got to avoid sighthounds and cats... My Great Dane was very keen on the cats for a while (despite having grown up around them) but my foster failure kitten smooched her so much, she is over it now.

Colour Possibility In Stafford Pups
Kirty replied to loveastaff2010's topic in General Dog Discussion
I met a staffy pup the other day who was a really interesting colour. My brain has just gone blank but I *think* it was either chocolate or fawn... It was from a reg'd breeder and VERY cute. It was a colour I had never heard of before and was definitely not a red. -
I have been using glucosamine tablets for my girl with stiff hips and I have to say I have not noticed a huge difference. My family also used Sasha's blend for their old dog (RIP) and again, did not notice much difference. The best thing they found in their very old dog, was aspirin. Paddi was prescribed aspirin for her incontinence, but it also helped greatly with her arthritis.

I prefer to buy pet quality mince, because it usually contains a fair bit of offal and minced bones anyway. I normally use chicken mince and beef mince. My dogs get raw bones once a week for their teeth, and whole chicken carcasses too.

I agree, but that is irrelevant. Legally, she must go to the pound. She may have been wandering for some time, she may have been stolen, etc.

That was a lovely tribute. RIP Jack. ;)

Ooh that sounds good Lynda. Will have to pop in and see if I can find one of those. Haven't heard anymore from the pups owners? I sent an email a while ago but no response. Will try again soon. Goldengirl, I think 3 dogs on one lead would lead to my demise! LOL!

I actually need two, so will check out the blackdog range as well.

Doesn't need to be gorgeous at all, just not ugly like the ones I found on ebay (olive green). That would be great Gayle! :D
-
Does anyone know where I can get a double lead/dog coupler? EBay don't have anything interesting, only ugly ones.

Ouch!! Poor Arnie!! Tilly's wound is healing nicely and she is enjoying being inside almost 24/7.

Council Ranger Threatens To Fine Rescuer Of Lost Dogs
Kirty replied to SarasMum's topic in In The News
Whilst I agree in principal that all lost animals should go to the pound, holding onto them for 24 hours while you try to find their owners is not a big deal and the council is obviously only concerned about the fees they get. Disgusting behaviour by the ranger. -
No, Tilly doesn't drink excessively. I would definitely be getting Sophie tested, that doesn't sound right. Tilly is still very shy but she wants so desperately to be friends. She has improved HEAPS. Her new owner is very dedicated and is meeting with a behaviouralist tomorrow to get some ideas. Then when she takes Tilly home, she will be having a few consults with the behaviouralist too. ETA: No I don't have your email, can you pm it to me.

She is about average height, but she is very fine. She was desexed at 12 weeks (rescue) so not sure if that has anything to do with it?

ALL dallies are speshal! LOL! This gorgeous girl has a home waiting for her. She will be leaving me next week, all going to plan.

LOL! Shouldn't laugh but it is funny!

LA is a domestic shorthair. One of his siblings (who sadly passed away) was really unusual though and his surviving sister is also quite unusual. One breeder suggested that they may have Bengal in them but who knows.

My other cats are not keen on the dogs at all, but this guy is obsessed with them! He didn't have much experience with dogs when I was hand-raising him (he was so tiny so was protected from everything ) but he just loves dogs. When he was desexed, my parents picked him up from the vet for me and when they brought him inside and he saw their dog (who he has never seen before), he went crazy in his cage until they let him out to meet her! LOL!

My kitten LA LOVES dogs. Here he is with one of his dogs, Pia the Greyhound. Oh hi! Did someone say food?
-
Her name is Tilly. It was so cute because every time I walked past her pen, she would wag her tail. Couldn't get up or even look at me though! LOL!
-
This is my foster dog after being given her premeds, prior to being desexed. She was so out of it! LOL!

I've just called every produce store/pet store that I can think of and only one place stocks it. Its $22.50 for a tube. Will have to go for a drive on Monday!

I like my dogs to be able to turn around comfortably in them. I am not sure how big your dog is, but for my Labrador-sized dogs, I use a 42" crate.

What about in Melbourne? Does somewhere like PetStock have it? Or should I go to a proper produce store?
