  1. I fed Mason probably 1,5 cups of dry feed a day plus a bone or some sardines, yoghurt, cottage cheese etc. I would say that 4 cups is probably too much on its own but with all the other stuff too it may be a bit excessive.
  2. I had the same thing, OH got very bored!!
  3. He's probably not quite as big as a Lab puppy but he's sure heavy!! ;) I have put Mason's puppy collar on him as we are going to the puppy classes shortly, he's done nothing but scratch since he's had it on! I guess it's normal when he isn't used to wearing something around his neck ;) Maybe Monday meet up at Tom Lake Cafe? He's a little cutie, Golden Rules can't wait for a cuddle. I am hoping to get a cuddle in this week - his face is really adorable!!
  4. I need to get Mason a bigger crate, have not used it with the door shut in ages and he has actually outgrown it, ooooops.... ;)
  5. Tiggy - that sounds like one weird lady??? Back from our heeling clinic, it was very informative
  6. I have a flea/insect allergic dog, I use Revolution and then 2 weeks later Comfortis and then Revolution again, but you can use the Comfortis once a week in the short term as directed by the derm. I have not treated my yard as yet, we mainly have paving. We do all this as a precaution, never seen a flea on him.
  7. I will take him :D They should put earplugs in the puppy pack when they hand everything over to you :D He was actually very good, he did squark for 10 minutes and then settled for an hour, he squarked again at 11pm so toilet trip outside, then back to bed and I didn't hear from him until 5am :D Oh wow that isnt bad!!
  8. I got Mason in June last year and it was awful to get up at that time. And Mason never slept through until he was 6 months old as he had tummy troubles. He did not ever cry at night though which is odd as all my other pups have :D
  9. My cool coat is about 4 inches too long, I ordered the size i did because the one size smaller coat that Mason has is too small, the coat fits him everywhere but its a tad long - will be taking it with tomorrow for the heeling clinic in case it gets hot. Are you attending Tiggy?
  10. My dog has big whelts from the bites, she has allergic reactions to these bloody Aussie mozzies!! But didnt bother the Judge the other day hje didnt seem to notice the big bumps! lol Yes I saw Taha Daha won BOB at the Royal! They both must be close to thier Ch. now! I must keep my eye out for mozzies, I wonder if Permoxin repels mozzies as well as flies?
  11. He's probably not quite as big as a Lab puppy but he's sure heavy!! I have put Mason's puppy collar on him as we are going to the puppy classes shortly, he's done nothing but scratch since he's had it on! I guess it's normal when he isn't used to wearing something around his neck ;) Maybe Monday meet up at Tom Lake Cafe? Mason scratched at his collar for about 2 weeks, he hated it at first, he would start to run and then skip on 3 legs because he tried to run and scratch at the same time - go to love puppy antics!! Yes would love to meet monday just let me know a time.
  12. Aww he is so cute. Is he light enough to be carried? Mason weighed a ton at that age but I think Goldies are lighter built than labs if I am not mistaken? I cant wait until next week to meet him. I am free most days but thursday morning I have a hairdressers app .
  13. I have an allergic dog, he can only eat roo, fish, lamb and goat. I dont feed horse meat as horses get inoculated and medicated etc and if they have raced they get given steroids etc, i just dont like the thought if my dog being exposed to this as he is on a lot of meds already.
  14. Thanks! If I'm up early enough, I think I will make the trek down there with Paddy in my shoulder bag ..... leave Dougal at home ... although he needs a bath .... maybe a really short lead for him .... thinking ...... Yes, I am BAD with Clean Run. But I am all shopped out now. Paddy and Dougal have more toys than you could wave a stick at so no more. One great buy was the fox tail, both my cats absolutley LOVE it, and it is the exact same colouring as one om my cats so I have to be careful when I pick it up that I'm not trying to pick up my MC by her tail I am waiting for 2 packages from Dstore now thanks Ptolomy.... GR - email me after pup class and let me know how it went. I got a lovely photo canvas of Mason from Big W today ( i ordered it and it arrived today I should say) - photo session was so good I cannot wait to get my pics!! Mason found a rope in the water attached to a tree and he basically played tug of war for ages in the water with it, he kept jumping out the water like a dolphin with this rope in his mouth, it was too funny :p
  15. nope, i have class and then a wedding that day
  16. I use it daily, mainly for flies and those tiny midges as my dog is allergic to insect bites etc, it is non - toxic to dogs but is toxic to Goldfish and cats, our vet said that the cat would really nee to lick a lot to be affected ( our cat grooms our dog but we have had no issues). I have had no side effects here. It is actually made from some plant i believe?
  17. Great news that Rover was comfortable last night. Protexin is great, I believe Paws make a good probiotic too, although I have not tried it as yet.
  18. After reading all these stories I will never keep bait in my house/garage, the risk is just to great, lucky I have cats so any rat problem we had would be taken of by them.
  19. Ah, I see a trip to Midland is on the cards for me. Always like to see more places where I can get variety in the dogs diet without breaking the bank. Is that the one inside Midland Gate?? I may try the lamb tongue.. any idea of the name??
  20. Have you tried the Revolution? It is tested at 10x the normal dose and they recon on the packaging that they have never had a reaction? My allergy dog is very sensitive to everything but he is good with the Revolution, I also use the cat one on my cats and the one is ultra sensitive.
  21. I saw this, was sitting on the stands watching
  22. I do Revolution and in between doses I do comfortis, as suggested by my dermatologist, so I do Revolution, then 2 weeks later COmfortis and then 2 weeks later Revolution again etc etc...
