Beautiful shot of Cowboy, glad to see him up and about. gapvic: I like your w14, the sense of loss is palpable. Your w15 shot is cute, I like the perspective of the shot. The theme of your w16 shots is a hoot - I like your goofy first one the most. Nawww, your w17 is cute. I like your w18, again great perspective and lovely autumnal colours. Your w19 shot is good - I like the way it turned out. You have a luminous glow around you, very pretty. I agree with your w20, always have a book on the go... though electronically mostly these days. Nice composition of the photo. MnDM: I wish I had access to your beach, seriously looks like an awesome place. Ruby looks like a fun dog! Your w16 shot - they look like speedsters! I like your w17 paws shot, the contrast of Benson's white paws on the orange is really pretty. Cute croc toy! Such innocent wide eyes. Goodness Wilma is a muscular girl! kja: Puppy on a rock is adorable, bet you miss his squishy face. I like your w16 shot - poor octo, hope his day got better. That little Ta-ta in your w17 shot is great - amazing you got so close. I love your underwater stuff - and w18 is no exception. MatildaLily doesn't not look comfy! I'm always amazed at how they can turn themselves into pretzels  I love the colour in that photo. Evolving: Naww Miss Quinny is sooo cute. She's grown heaps since I saw her last. The little Lappy puppy is adorable. And happy birthday to Alera!! She's such a beautiful girl. Pixie_meg: Nice collection. I particularly like your w15 shot of your daughter, very pretty. The b&w upside down couch hogs is brilliant! Again, more beautiful photos of your daughter. She comes across as a rather spirited, adventurous young girl. redangel: Luci looks rather concerned in that photo! Miss Ruby looks very happy to be home. huga: I love your w16, looks like a great moment of fun with your kidlet. Your w17 shot - that's one of my fave songs... well done on that photo, captures the spirit of the song well. I like your w18 shot, it's cute. Great smile :D Your w18 is fantastic, so whimsical and fun. You make a great Marge. "hrrrrmmmmmmmm" dwynwen: Ooooohhh Akita badges - tell me more!! MTD: Looks like you have a very productive garden. I like the vivid colour in your camellia (?) CrazyCresties: Yikes! Spider *and* ant! Great shot! And I love your w16 photo - awesome windswept look! I like the gloomy sky in your w17 photo. I prefer your edited version in w18, dunno why - maybe a bit more 'beachy' ?? I like both, but prefer the edit. fattima: I like your catch up collection, the sky in your w15 shot is brilliant and the detail on your w16 is really nice. Butternut: Nice warm scarf, could do with one of those here at the moment! I like your w16 blossom, very very pretty. Dante is adorable, such fabulous ears. MrRedDog: A great collection of family photos. I really like the All Hands In photo, a definite framer. 12. Oh dear... I'm a bit behind. Whoops! We've just spent a relaxing weekend in Queenstown, NZ - which coincidentally straddled weeks 18 and 19. So both my late photos come from that trip. Week 18 - the view from our balcony. 18/52 by KumaAkita, on Flickr I'm not super awesome happy with this photo. The solar flare annoys me, but I wanted to use a photo from this collection that I hadn't already used in my other thread. Any tips on how to "fix" it in post?? I've just started to use lightroom - can't say I'm a fan. But that could just be coz I'm not familiar with it yet - and aperture seems so much easier to me! Week 19 - view of queenstown by night. It's not clear or crisp, but I kinda like the abstract quality. 19/52 by KumaAkita, on Flickr That should get me up to date with my photos.
  13. Yikes, looks like I haven't commented since Easter! Slacko :D ktig: Love Paddy's high step marching! He also looks super cute in your w16 shot, just chillin' in the grass. Seems those days might be gone soon with the weather we're having!! He also looks like an awesome helper in w17 (or is that "foreman"?) and looks like a great place for a walk in w18. Cute bed (w19) Probably slightly smaller than Kuma's  MnDM: I love your w15 collection. Your beach shots are always cool. Gosh! Juddy's looking so grown up in w16! How'd that happen?? Monet and Diva look like they had a great day racing, and I love Benson's windswept look. Your w17 collection is also great, I especially like Juddy's high flyin' buddy and the lovely portrait of Monet - she looks very sweet. Another great collection for w18 - Monet all curled up staying warm is just adorable and Diva's racing photo is brilliant. As to the watermark, I prefer your original. I think the white box is too much and takes away from your photos. I love Diva gettin' friendly with the lure in w19, looks like one of those "seconds from disaster" type moments! Snook: Justice in his thundershirt is cute! Such sad eyes. It's like he's conspiring with his toy. I also like your w16 shot with 'bob' - great perspective in that photo. I love your w17 shot - I think I adore Justice's ears the most in the whole shot, so spirited! Your week 18 photo is beautiful, Justice could almost pass as a statue! Cute Justice in his hoodie (w19) Brrrr, hope you get heating soon! TLC: w16 - Hope your crew is better! Lacy looks like she'd be a great nurse :D I love your w17 shot too! Cute tricks will always bring a smile to sickly faces. She's very tolerant of you in w18! Beanie and scarf, musta been a cold day  Your w19 photo is cute, tho it looks windy - she may have needed her beanie and scarf from w18 :D Jack and Dash's Mum: as I said before, Jack in his snood is fab. Such a cute face :) Your w17 collection is great too! I love your paired shot in w18, they look like they're about to get into mischief! anniek: I like your w16 of Phoebe. The light behind her is just lovely. She looks very comfy in w17, what's not to enjoy about a couch and a blankie? your w18 photo is pretty, she looks like she's enjoying those sun rays. Glad that Cowboy is on the mend! How scary! Another comfy photo of Phoebe in w18, make the most of the warmth while it lasts Shell: Ahhh Veikko. She's so freakin' cute! It'll be fun to watch her grow up - hopefully one day I will get to meet her. Helen: Great photos! I love the colours you get in your shots, really pretty. I like your w17 photo, Tilly looks regal amongst the ferns and fronds. I like your w18 shot, the perspective is very interesting. I like your w19, she looks lovely after her groom and somewhat chuffed with how it turned out  ...and I'm up to date with comments. I'll try to get up to date with photos soon too! I'm really enjoying all the photos in this thread, they'll be an awesome collection when the year is all said and done.
  14. Hi All I'm a bit behind, but I'm not giving up!! I've managed to miss a week, so will take a couple of snaps this week to make up. We've been to NZ on holidays, so Kuma stayed at a kennel while we were away. He came home hungry and tired, and has been alternating between eating and sleeping ever since we got back! 18/52 by KumaAkita, on Flickr
  15. I have it, bought it at a newsagency at the airport a few weeks ago coz I needed something to read on the plane. Herrrrmmmm wonder where it is!! It's pretty interesting - I was going to post about it when I got it but totally forgot. What I liked about it most is that many of the projects can be done with fairly basic equipment, such as a D3100 and kit lens, rather than only being able to replicate results on high end equipment. I've grabbed quite a few of these photo mags at airports in the last few months, and many of them say "all you need is your [insert $3000 camera body] and the [insert $1000 lens], plus [insert more expensive equipment here]" - and it's just not realistic or easily to replicate for a novice or amateur photographer. Now you've got me thinking where the bloody hell that magazine is
  16. Wow. Another set of truly amazing pics! That flatworm is unbelievable. And I'll add another vote for not being sick of this thread!
  17. Just got back from a mini-break to Queenstown. Gosh we had fun! Beautiful little part of the world. Switched to RAW - wow, what a difference. Not switching back :D
  18. Beautiful! Great fabric choices :) Hope you find it as comfortable as I find mine. We hiked around Aranda/black mountain the other day, I took my full kit and carried it no worries! So comfy.
  19. I live the head in the ball, how gorgeous! Cute puppers
  20. I've tried to watch it a few times, but make it to the sad bit and start bawling my eyes out and turn it off. I then go hug my boy for reassurance. I just can't do it. Nope, no siree. Nor can Mr KumaAkita.
  21. Gapvic - I think it's a natural pile of tree bits, but it does look like a humpy.
  22. Week 17 17/52 by KumaAkita, on Flickr I'll come back and comment, promise!!
  23. Week 17 17/52 by KumaAkita, on Flickr i promise to come back and comment soon!!
  24. Staffyluv, I'm thinking of doing one of the CIT photography courses, hopefully their June intake... Just to get a handle on the basics and get a better understanding of it all. Hopefully I can get out of auto soon! I travelled with my D5100 in my porteen gear bag to Perth, first time under my seat and the return fight I was at an exit row so it had to go overhead. No issues. Actually, took a few nice shots out the window as the sun set!
