Chezzy you are SO not a bad mummy. We wont have any of that talk ok? I saw the way Rosie started last time it was on - she was red hot until she hit the wire and I think she scared herself. She obviously remembered it this time, thats all. She was her normal gorgeous social self outside the lure area - having a ball chatting to all her 'fans' :D She had a great time, but she's a very smart dog - it may take a while for her to get back into it, if ever, because of the fright she gave herself last time. Shame, but nothing to do with your mothering skills ok?.

Hang on a minute! I took Reilly in especially so you could take pics of your own dog. Wasnt that you standing in the middle with the camera? :D Lovely afternoon. Wonderful people, dogs, no pressure, just FUN. Only bad thing wasI didnt get round to meet everyone coz it all went too fast :p I'm hanging to see the great DOL luring group shot. Please please let it have come out ok.... :D

Oh I know dogdayz.. I am making the most of it now, coz I am fairly sure I will be eating my own words on the evening of the 28th. Might as well make it worthwhile!!! ;) Sorry though, I really did only mean it in jest. Nat is yet to smack me for the 'spotless' collie remark. After that I will go off and start planning excuses as to why my dog ran to the fence to say hi to everyone and begged for food, rather than glance in the direction of the lure...... doh

I think the plan is to do a bbq at kcc and see if it suits? Is that right guys? But if for some reason it doesnt, my place is available! Most have seen the pics of how bad it looks.... BUT, it does have a bit of cover, and an outside fireplace come bbq, a working toilet and a gargage fridge and thats just about all that is useable atm! I have never noticed the bbq's at kcc, but Jeff says they're close to the offlead area, so is everyone happy to just see how it goes on the day? Is there any shelter nearby Jeff in case it rains? Max is easy peasey to spot, and way to handsome to miss. I guess if you're wondering if that collie rough is Nats just check to see if its spotless, and um, oh, dogdayz will be the one chasing the lure on her own while number one foster watches her....... (sorry T ) I'm sure we'll all find each other, coz I am so not wearing a nametag saying "Hedds". I will put one on Banjo though if anyone wants me too. Looks like its going to be a really fun day, cant wait to see you all there!

Thank you all so much for sharing today with the rest of us. Reading the whole thing and then seeing the pics was just wonderful, I could feel some of what it must have been like for you guys. I am totally green with envy, and have to get me an eye full of this herding action in the near future. You are all to blame! ;) Thank you all once again. A lovely, real, heartfelt thread. In the 'big' one this arvo, there were GSD's, borders, one dobe (who won) and one ACD. I'm pretty sure thats right. Helen?

Huge congrats Helen. It couldnt be done without a great handler. You go girl! Was the obedience dog of the year the class I saw in the arvo? Started around 2ish? Only one Dobe in it??? What a shame I missed this morning. I would have LOVED to have been able to cheer you on....... I hope you are sipping a glass of champers right now. ;) Congrats to both you and Bella once again. :p

Yep, mine get fish about once a week. If the OH has been out they get whatever the bay has offered that day - could be whiting, snapper, anything. It gets gutted for them, but thats it, they eat the lot. Jem will suck in a whiting like its spagetti - she'll look at you with the just tail tip still hanging out of her gob then suck that in too. I try not to watch. If the boat hasnt been out, they get a tinned sardines, or tinned makeral (which you can often find really cheap). Doggy fish breath kisses......... eeeeeeeeew.

I only just heard of this thread. I am so so sorry I havent shown my respect and offered support to both Trish and Rozzie before now. As others have said, Little Pirate was well loved in his short time here. From both near, and afar. From those he lived with and by many he'd never met. So many of us have followed his journey since it started with his Rozzie mum. Such a short life, but one filled with joy, licks, snuggles and play, and with the promise of that to continue forever with Trish. I really hope Roz you realise what a difference you made in his life, and Trish what a lucky pup he was to have had the prospect of being yours forever. RIP funny little Pirate man. Run free knowing you will not be forgotten. :D My heart is breaking for both of you guys right now. I can't even imagine how you feel. There is nothing you can do to change anything now. There is nothing all your friends here can do either, except to send you once again :D :D :D from us all.

Oh dogdayz, I just read about Beck. Infection in the bone? Is that right? Blimey, what bad luck........ We will be keeping all fingers and toes crossed for Beck. Hopefully he'll be back and running for the next one. Can you let us know how he's going? Keep your chin up, even though you've had such a bad run lately... (keep looking at the pics of him chezzy took on Sunday. He doesnt look unhappy, sore OR chubby )

28th August BBQ is now official then?. I am happy with either at my place or kcc. Only stock fencing around my place so the offleash area may be better for those with recall worries? If it's too busy or something goes wrong with using the offleash area, we can all zip round to my place and start the outside fireplace and bbq there. The place is just about gutted inside atm, but the toilet flushes and the fridge in the garage will keep chardy and beer cold. Its only 3 or 4 kms from kcc park. How does that sound to eveyone? Hope its a nice sunny day like Sunday........ Oh, I'm looking forward to it already.

Oooh, my favorite. BBQ....... I can see it now! A whole mob of DOLers with a chardy in one hand, a sausage in bread in the other, and 20 dogs all running wild on 5 acres. hehe

Hi Cathie! Wow, yesterday is turning out to be a bigger DOL get together than a normal DOL get together. Maybe next time we should make a place to meet up or something?

Oh no dogdayz, what has happened? Chezzy will come through with great pics, she always does! CM, I was standing with dogdayz for most of the time I was there. I had my sable colored collie looking x Banjo, then he went into the car and I had Charlie, dogdayz foster child. I think you were against the fence and we were right behind you? I noticed your gorgeous Dali, just beautiful can I say.

Hi Nat :D Banjo should be fine to have a go next time. Just one of those things Saturday, he was off in the bush and came back to me with a bleeding paw. A small slice on his pad, gee so much blood for such a little cut. :D I didnt want to risk opening it up again yesterday. But everyone there was so friendly, I'm sure someone would let you run Reilly with their dog, if Banjie decides it's only fun to watch, not do....... Some of those dogs really are awesome! Talk about keen..

Please dont apologise, I could see you were busy as! ;) We only went to have a look today, and to see Rosie and dogdayz 2 run. (and TD if I'd known ;) ) Banjo cut his paw on something in the park yesterday, it took ages to stop bleeding and he's a little tender on it, so we'll have a go next time. He was very interested in watching the lure through the fence today, but if he'll chase it at all?? It was a lovely afternoon, and such fun to see the dogs having a ball. (my new place is about 5 mins from there chezzy, you'll have to all drop in next time )

I saw Rosie have a run. Not sure if she only had the one go or another one after I left. Chezzy? Hurry up and finish dinner and give us all the details.
