  1. Well I have just waited for my vet for over an hour and he didnt show. I just bet he'll ring me tomorrow and tell me he had an emergency and he'll come tomorrow night instead. (appointment was 7pm tonight) I shall post on here when I know and email Stella as well. If he cant come earlier, or another day, I just might have to have a tanty!! :p :D (Banjo says if anyone hits on Skye when he's not there, there will be trouble!)
  2. Aw DD, you have to bring Skye........ Banjo has his outfit all worked out to impress her. (he needs to know what color she is wearing so his bow tie can match) :p btw, she is totally gorgeous when she gives you that cutsey look and waves at you hoping you'll gvie her something yum.....
  3. Oh goodie, do we have to dress up? You do mean we will all shake hands, then sit down for a tea party dont you yogi? Um, will there be cake?
  4. Miranda, it is Victors Wholesale Meats, 220-222 Princes Hwy Dandenong. Its on the city side of Dandenong, on the right hand side as you are leaving Dandy. You have to drive past it, turn right and into the service road, but its pretty easy to find. They sometimes dont have the frames out, but just ask and they will get them from out the back.
  5. Sugar, I get my chicken frames from a meat supplier in Dandenong. I pay 50 cents for a bag of 4, but they are much cheaper if you buy the whole box. Oh, for a bigger freezer.
  6. Finishing this thread off with one last pic from Sunday week ago. I hope thats ok. The ever friendly Hagrid, who had been 'making eyes' at David every time he walked past him here, finally got his attention and ended up with double handed face squish cuddle for his trouble....... This is what our herding day was all about, as well as the herding of course. I hope other DOLers going to future ones have a wonderful time like we did, and get to make just as many lovely new DOL friends. Those of us on DOL are luckier than we know. Cheers, H
  7. You also said this was not about the beginners herding day last Sunday and was not about Hagird. Yet your now restored original post, plainly shows 4 of your quotes to be about Hagrid, and the other is about a staffy x? Surely you knew this thread would turn 'hot' immediately Tracey? I am still trying to work out what sort of positve you thought could come to your sport from it?
  8. Well, this thread has done its job, deleted posts or not. I have heard from someone who was so excited about going to the next herding BEGINNERS day to see if their dog had any herding instinct, now they're not going to go. Isnt it great when someone trying to promote a struggling sport, and maybe change peoples attitudes about the snobby way it has been run with in the past, gets slammed for doing so. Brick wall handy Dave? I have been to two beginners days now. I will never do an official trial or test. I wouldnt give an organisation with such poor spokespeople my money. I shall, however, continue to have fun with my dog by paying to learn from someone who has the skill and experience needed to train me, rather than waste my time making up problems and 'whats ifs' where there are none. Well done girls. Enjoy your 'elite' sport. Cheers.
  9. Its all about breeds. Its nothing but snobbery and raining on other peoples parades and havin a bitch at every available opertunity, thats why its gotten nasty. So typical. Why didnt this thread start after the last herding day that was posted about? It HAS to be because of the breeds represented that day. (IE: they were all working breeds) Why else would it be being raised now if its not about different breeds giving it a go?
  10. Oiiiii! Dont YOU start calling me Hillary too.... Sorry for getting ;)
  11. Twice the price for nasty mothers of spunky dogs who pick on people and call them names...
  12. Oh, well they're partners. I was pretty close? Uncle Adrian used to be my horse vet years ago when I lived over that side. I still take all my small animals to that clinic, and I've lived on the Mornington Pen for over 10 years now.... Its a long drive for me, but IMHO worth it. I wont say who my fav is at that clinic. And I dont even have a rotti. :D
  13. Is he a 'rotti' vet haven? If so......... I think I know who you are talking about. Are you even going to give us a hint?
  14. Hi Bulltime. My 15 year old ACD has been on Sasha's Blend for quite a few years now. It has been great for her. (she is also on other meds too) A little off topic, but does anyone here give their young dogs Sasha's Blend? We have been feeding working horses joint food for a while from a youngish adult age. Does anyone do the same with dogs? Esp big dogs? Just interested. Sorry about the hi-jack BT.
  15. I was really careful not to put any faces or anything in the pics... but that one just didnt look any good without you in it DD. Besides, its too tincy to see how gorgeous you are anyway. :D A few others needed 'half' people in them to make sense. Please let me know if I've posted anyone who wants me to crop them out. Will email you all of them when I get a chance DD....
  16. Thats it from me for tonight. Thanks to everyone who wasnt there for sitting through all my (very unprofessional) pics. I hope I havent forgotton anyone? If I have, let me know, I've got pics of every dog. Also, if you want a pic that hasnt been cropped, or to look at the others of your dog, pm me your email, and I'll get them to you when I can. Banjo and I had a lovely day, once again, at Mooreholme Park. We will never be herding superstars, (and aint that a fact ), but everyone is so nice, and the day is so much fun, that anyone who would like to do something a little 'different' with their dogs, should give it a go. Thanks to everyone there yesterday for making our day so enjoyable........ :D
  17. Hope was the last to go..... Also on her own. No help from the other dogs. She did really well. "Off to get them"
  18. "Isnt this how every good sheepdog cools off on a hot day?" :D
  19. Emmy next. "Oooo, I love these sheep things" :D
  20. Nearly all the way back to the yards and he's STILL got em totally under control. Just crusin. :D
  21. He had them right where she wanted them, every time..... (and we're not jealous at all are we Banjo? Oh no, not a bit! :D ) Geoff and Rosie take a break and make sure all is ok in the background.
  22. And then there are the shooperstars. :D Fox didnt need any help. Either did his mum. They were off on their own from the start.
  23. Being able to work with one of Davids dogs, or Geoff's Rosie, really made a difference to the dogs who were still getting the hang of things..... Didnt take Connor long. Teamwork! Edited for right pic, sorry. :D
