  8. Here are a few pics from today. I took nearly 300 photo's and am just too beat to get to them all tonight. The ones of your dogs out in the big paddock are by FAR the best, so I'm saving them for tomorrow night. Have kept them small, so we can have more and everyone can see them. I'll start with dogdayz rescue pups. A little over a week ago, these pups were on their last few hours at the pound. dogdayz put her hand up to foster them, and brought them along today to see how the would go. The monster girls are 12 weeks old, and sooooooooo cute. Erm, if anyone is interested in a herding pup, one showed just a 'slight' talent for it. See for yourself.
  9. Can I just say, because I know alison wont, that that part is well under way erny. ;) She has spent more time than anyone I know, researching, investigating and training to stop/reverse what has happened to Tyler. It is a total credit to her as a person and a dog owner just how dedicated she is to this problem. (and for my part - alison and I have been walking our dogs together for the past few weeks. My dog is social, and they started off side by side on leads and progressed to bum sniffing and play bowing in a very short time. They have not been offlead together as yet, and I only mention this here so you all know Alison is very good at reading her dog, and can tell you exactly what is about to happen and change the circumstances before it does. Her asking for help and ideas here is because she has put so much effort into Tyler coming this far, and would like her pals on DOL's opinions on this coming meeting. Thanks guys ) psst - I could add she has no idea what a good handler she is and how capable she is with her dog, but I better not, or she'll smack me.

    Lupi

Oh no........... I sat here and didnt open this thread for a few mins, coz I knew what would be in it. Run free and rest easy Lupi. Curl up beside Lucy in the sun and know you were so loved. to all in the R household.
  11. Oh Shite............... I've been away since early Friday and only just saw this thread now. to you Jodie. Everything is crossed this end for both you and Ollie. Its just not fair, after all he has been through already.
  12. Oh Dave, we are definately coming back!!! We all had such a great day. Might have to be after xmas though as its so hard to agree on a date this close to the 'silly season'. (psst, we need help bad. Banjo and I have been "practising" on the poor half tame ducks that live on my dam. Um, I think I've created a few herding terms no one will have ever heard of before - in fact, some of them dont resemble herding at all I dont think  ) :D
  13. Sorry Kiz. And DOL is short for Dogzonline, so by DOL dogs, I meant the dogs belonging to DOL members.
  14. Hi KK. A few of us went to a beginners herding day a while ago. It was great, none of the DOL dogs had been near a sheep before I dont think. You could maybe pm the guy who took it. He does private lessons I'm sure. It was HEAPS of fun for the dogs. Good luck. Oh, here is that thread, its a bit long..... http://forums.dogzonline.com.au/index.php?...topic=40256&hl=
  15. I'm pretty sure the fun day is the first Sunday in Dec. Can someone else confirm? (it might really help if I ever read my newletter ) Sorry we missed you last night. And yey for toby being such a star, what a cutie. A small group of us finished off the night after class with a big walk just on dusk so the dogs went home zonked and happy. It was a lovely night for a stroll round the grounds. It might have been a bit late to stay for you after puppy class, but dodge would have loved it. Next time ;)
  16. I hope you see this Lablover I just heard a whisper there will be quite a few DOLers at Hastings tonight. Not in the puppy class tho :p , but in the classes that start when yours finishes. Keep an eye out! Have fuuuuuuuuuun! ;) ;)
  17. Er, could we please just focus on the problem of the poster? Axel needs help, enough to have asked for it.
  18. I go to Hastings too. Well, I've been a member there for months, but with renovations, moving etc, I really have hardly been there at all. Whenever I 'breeze' into class, no one minds that I've had a break, everyone is just as nice as the last time I was there. I have done more Tuesday night classes than Sundays, as Nat said, they are usually tiny, plenty of one on one time. This past Sunday morning we did agility class with Greg before our obed class, and had a ball. But then in obed class he was a bit pooped (it was hot) not as 'snappy' as usual. I explained half way through class to my instructor that we were going to ditch it for the day as he'd had enough, she agreed, and we left class. I'd never met her before that day. From what I've seen up until now, they are a lovely club. If they are nice to such a 'bad' ;) member as myself, I cant wait till next year when I can actually start going all the time and get into it. :p : Tis an unfortunate fact I think, that all clubs have politics, and that politics often get tainted by the personalities of those on the committees. If the club is close to you, come and have a look. If its not what you're after, there will be one out there that is. ETA: Hey DD, I would love to see you and your gorgeous clever girl there. Yup, toys are fine, anything that 'floats her boat' so they say ;)

    Lucy

RIP sweet Lucy...... You will be sadly missed. Run free and happy at the bridge. ;) Roz,
  20. Sky, your pics are gorgeous! I cant believe you even found time to take lovely shots of the countryside. Thanks for sharing, they're great.
  21. Oh Moop, that would be just soooooo great! In the question time, I asked if any dogs had stood out in Davids mind. He said a poodle came along once that worked so well it was amazing. I'm sure it had never been near a sheep either. All breeds are welcome. Sky's little darling 6 month old westie who came to 'watch' was invited to have a go. She wanderd around the sheep (with supervision of course) and was just totally.... soooooo cute. Hmm, where is Sky and her pics???? I just took this pic...... here is my big tough sheepdog from yesterday. Curled up in the cats bed. :D (sorta spoils the that tough boy image doesnt it?)
