  1. I needed this thread a month ago! Named my girl Envy. Some love it, some hate it. I think it suits her though. :) I wanted a short name too. I had a three page list. I will have a look at it later.
  2. Stopping at the ATM At our training school with her large shepherd friend, Leroy
  3. This is Envy at the markets on Sunday (omg that was a bit of a drama with loose dogs and crazy bogans coming up to her). She is 11 weeks in this photo
  4. Sweet! Thanks I will try that. I just started uploading them ALL to photobucket too but there probably about a thousand or so, so that could take a while.... Don't worry I won't bombard everyone with a thousand all at once - I am too busy with puppy duties anyway :)
  5. And this is Envy's recall where she leaps into my lap with joy at the end of it haha ETA: Holy crap excuse my squeeling voice!
  6. I have heaps on FB but I think my privacy settings might be too high to share them here. This is also almost 2 weeks ago at my in-laws place, giving their dog Gizmo a hard time. SO CUTE
  7. Nova is getting so big! We have lost puppy breathe here too Envy is 12 weeks old on Friday Naaww you guys want pics. This is 2 weeks ago, looking for where i put some more recent ones. Can anyone help me with potsting photos? I resize them to a small size with a program them upload them here and can still only fit in a couple and they are small. Other posters have heaps of bigger photos in one post?? Are they on a photo site instead of uploaded through dol? I can do that if i have to, but its another step.
  8. Chester was probably a bit younger there, around 8 weeks I think. He leaned out and stayed lean after that. Envy is just over 11 weeks old now (sniff sniff) and no longer has that puppy fat. Looking like a nice lean biting machine already lol
  9. Lisa your photos of wet Nova remind me so much of Chester as a puppy. He was all fluff!! This was his first trip to the beach, three years ago now.
  10. Sorry, I've been busy and not on dol much so only just saw this. She is great at home :) she has a lovely sweet side and she loves to have fun. Yes she has a lot of energy which comes in bursts of feral-ness where she gets very bitey. Then shegets tired and cuddly too. All my friends mals have off switches and I think there is a difference between high drive and energy, and silly hyperactivity.
  11. Oh, we went to Brisbane on the weekend for the pink concert. We left Envy with a trainer friend for the night and she was great. Didn't even notice we were gone and had a ball. I don't think she wanted to come home. And she loved their cat!
  12. Envy is getting big fast! 8.2kg today and she is 10.5 weeks old :)
  13. No tugging between 4 to 6 months while they're teething :)
  14. Places and experiences we have done with Envy so far: Carparks Horse paddock chickens ducks busy town street 5 different vet clinics 4 pet supply stores mobile vet visit party at my house with flashing lights, loud people and music children bearded men ("Look Envy, there's Santa!") people of different races Elderly Walking sticks, walkers other dogs small and large young puppies agility tunnel cracking stock whips the beach slippery slide & kid's playground the hairdressers several client's houses scooters skateboards bicycles So, socialisation going well so far. Lots more to go!
  15. In reply to lolli's comment, yes outing a pup too early can create dissatisfaction in the game. It's got nothing to do with a motivational out which is the correct way if you want a rock solid out when the dog is in high drive, but everything with outing too early when the dog is tugging. Saying that her window of tugging is about to be cut short anyway with teething coming up, no tugging at all during that period or you really create problems. What exactly is this referring to? A few pages back. We went a bit off topic and it's referring to teaching puppies to tug and let go. Wish I never brought it up now really. Sorry for the off topic guys!
  16. OMG Smashtank! Those photos are so cool. I want to take some like that now! Tank is SO adorable too!
  17. I know the feeling. At least you know she went to a great home. I have had some that I knew would have been better off elsewhere and I didn't have a say. It's hard. Every time we foster, OH says no more fostering! Then in time, we do it all over again. The last one was very hard though. My OH cried when she left. She was so happy, thought we were taking her out for a walk but it was to go to people picking her up out the front. And she didn't go to a great home like she should have.
