  1. When they sort of snort like they're sneezing in reverse. You'll know it if you see a dog do it. It's very distressing, like they can't breathe or something. ah thankyou, Gizzi does this , she def is not happy when she gets waht I call the snorts [ reverse sneeze ] may try the finger under the nose next time[ not over]

  4. I have live in around these areas all my life and I have yet to have 1 of mine get any, touch wood *touches head*, but others have had them and some people are always getting them , i tick rinse and check them after bush walks and swims . Dont think it is a overly bad area, but they are around
  5. I do it because it's fun and I love it, he seems to love it and i have found when i have been out of action[injured] he becomes naughty, so just playing and walks etc don't cut it for him. He seems more focused and behaved when we train and trial , not that you'd think that when he has a loopy nutso agility run rofl . I love the trialing because I am travelling all over and spending time with ppl that are like minded
  6. my 2 small dogs used to be really good , if one had a bone the other would sit patiently near and wait til the other finished and then have a turn, never a growl or anything . Not anymore though as grumpy granny has gone a bit senile and gets separated now , not just a meal time either , nutty old thing she is lol I have to watch the new girl and chopper as she will nick his food and he wont do anything, never been allowed to be possessive of his food, none of them have , but i have never had a food thief b4 now . Can't blame her as b4 she never knew how long between feeds , poor thing
  7. there is a ebay seller in coffs that sells a cheaper version for around $180- , i got one $60- courier , only drawback is it needs to be cut off as it is too long [ no big deal], i bought the extension for $12 just incase i cut too much , may be worth a look masonite[sp] with aluminum round the edges
  8. where are you at? HDAC trains Wed nights at Windsor , John Maroney Corectional center Can you do Saturday mornings at St Ives? Link No, weekends don't suit as we have obedience trialling, herding training and dog shows on almost every Sat/Sun. I've emailed the lady in Bargo recommended by Vickie. It sounds like that's going to be our best option.
  9. I have seen my neighbour staring down into my paddock, trying to see what furry thing is sitting on the hill rofl [ prob looked like a rabbit to him ] , soft toys, tug toys , squeaky toys are all over the place . They disappear then return
  10. thats what I was thinking, my new gnat brain rescue needs more training than Chopper did and a few bits would be enough to train her extra

  15. I'd have a few words to say too, if someone bit me on the butt rofl , great to see dogs have a good zoom session
  16. I have used citronella collars on 2 dogs now with success, they are quite cheap now , just recently got one off ebay for $89- . I had a dog that had issues as well and with the collar i used homeopet anxiety drops[bought from vet] and the combo of both of these worked well for him, good luck
