  1. Yup Gibbs has his second class of school tomorrow and he and i are going to boil!!
  2. Not a fun morning Rusky i hope Sammie is ok pls post back and let us know
  3. My friends lab also killed her pig in 2 days. They are not indestructible but tougher than regular toys
  4. My dog used to vomit bones, started feeding raw roo, goat and lamb then started roo bones and no hassles. Sadly last weekend he nearly died choking on a bone and im too scared to feed them now!!
  5. I would definitly join an obedience club it will be good for the dog to be around other dogs and learn self control and the instructors should be able to help you a great deal good on you for giving a rescue dog a go.
  6. I have 2 dogs ( scratch that one dog and one monster puppy lol) I compete in obedience a bit with the older dog and I am really enjoying it, I hope to trial with the puppy too one day. Must say having a puppy is a lot of work training wise, they know nothing which is nice but it is also a lot of effort time wise. I would like to get into retrieving a bit too.
  7. Mine also have a pool from spring until the end of summer, both swim after a walk as mentioned above they feel the heat pretty badly
  8. Yup I would get a second opinion for sure
  9. I use a water bucket for my 2 labs, the baby sometimes tips it though. I feed my adult male 1 cup of biscuits daily and about 250g meat.
  10. Horty they are all usually down at the K9 centre you can have a look on the dogswest website to see whats on. Not quite sure what group the danes are in but im sure some1 else will know. All i know is gundogs are group 3 lol .
  11. Great news CC must have been very stressful for you
  12. My 2 end up destroying stuff together no matter what i give them atm, Mason was good alone but 2 together are little devils lol
  13. Thats true they are real cuties as pups Eveyrone that sees Gibbs atm is drawn to him like a moth to a flame lol
  14. I think obedience will always be my favorite as its all the hard work you pur in pays off. With showing if a judge doesnt like your dog there is nothing you can do. And there are heaps of labs showing you really have to have something exceptional to get anywhere. I didnt like showing horses so i may feel the same about dogs but im willing to give it a go for now
  15. Yeah i dont know if we will get to minor showdog im just doing it for a bit of fun while he is a baby. Come to the conclusion that i wont have time to show him and trial them both in obedience and do a bit of retrieving as we will never have a free weekend!
  16. RS i am coming down for show training not tonight but next thurs if im not working
  17. That would be great Livertreats and Washa never even watched a whole show before so im clueless. Will the other groups be on before us on the day??
  18. I think if i watch a show beforehand i may be ok, will try watch a bit after the trial on the 29th..
  19. I think im chickening out of my show on the 13 november, dont think i can do it...
  20. That is very very true Mason-Gibbs dogs sooth and comfort the lonely, broken, lost or frightened heart :D I noticed I made a typo Mason was born in 2009 not 2011 lol
  21. I know Horty it seems that none of us can get our act together and organise something for when the majority of us can make it. We should all make more of an effort and with most of the trials being on at night nov/dec we should tee it up one sunday but it has to be somewhere with water as both of mine feel the heat like crazy Gibbs is only 13 weeks so he is a recent new addition
