  1. Man could you have had this thread in November?? Then I could have posted Paris and Barcelona landscapes! You'll just have to deal with whatever I can find around here.
  2. Katherine that must have been so heartbreaking and traumatic. RIP beautiful Bella.
  3. Nice detail and clarity Kirslin - what kind of cat is that?
  4. I bought a 1.4 50mm about a month ago and I swear it has barely left my camera! I took these yesterday at the beautiful baptism of Koe'Vue's baby Rhiley.
  5. Assess her weight by how she looks rather than what she weighs. There's a lot of differentiation with muscle/fat ratio. When you look at her from above does she have a waist? (dips in between the end of her ribcage and the beginning of her pelvis) Can you lay your hand on her side and feel her ribs fairly easily without applying too much pressure? Whatever exercise you do initiate with her, make sure you build up slowly so she can build up the muscle she requires to support the joints.
  6. I haven't cried so much in a long time. RIP Molly - what a special girl. The black ones are always special. Don't be sorry for making other people cry. Sharing this with us reminds us of how very short their lives are and why they are so special. We all know that we will be walking in your shoes in the not-distant-enough future as our babies grow older. The tears help prepare us for that time and keep us loving our dogs even more in the present.
  7. AnnieK - they're as good as any children I've seen! Nice picture too.
  8. I think I've just about caught up for the month now!! I will try to learn how to do sillhoettes before the end of the month. I should probably start by learning how to spell it properly!
  9. and this one which sort of uses sillhoette/backlighting/reflection
  10. Another couple of photos I took a few weeks ago using backlighting.
  11. Thanks TLC. It's an incense burner. I love burning the little incense cones of Nag Champa. They smell devine!
  12. Seems that I can no longer upload photos through flikr - I'm not sure what the problem is.
  13. I've had a look through the last few pages and everyones photos are awesome! I've decided that I love backlit photos. I burnt some incense this evening and took this picture.
  14. Glad to hear that his turd pipe is free flowing once more. My pointer was having problems a few weeks ago.. he was straining for about half an hour... every time I looked outside he was doing the poo walk. I administered a microlax enema (small tube of irritant medication administered via turd pipe) while my OH looked mildly amused about the whole situation. Pointer went outside and crapped and looked much happier. I then fed him some kibble with a tablespoon of olive oil mixed in. Happy little poo factory again.
  15. That is not a bowel blockage - it was probably bowel perforation. Constipation alone does not cause shock or haemorrhage. I agree - do what your vet recommends Bub - I wasn't suggesting otherwise. I'm just concerned that they are taking advantage of you.
  16. I hope he's all better soon. Unforunately his treatment seems like overkill Bub - no doubt they take advantage of your anxieties! It's not a life threatening illness and the IV drip and overnight stay seem completely uneccessary to me.
