I have been feeding my two greyhounds the VIP grain free kibble since it came out, about 2 years now and it's brilliant. My boy had the runs on all of the "premium" brand kibbles but not with this. As JulesP said they have recently bought out a tinned variety but I feed raw so not sure on that. It's reasonably priced, available from Woolies and now Coles in 1.25kg, 3 kg and the 7kg bag which is the one I get. The 7kg bag is only available in the chicken and duck variety.

that's gold.

I know she's sitting up asleep. Stan has no concept of personal space, I mean can he get any closer

Oh he's gorgeous, I'm sure he'll get snapped up quickly it's the oldies that sadly get overlooked a lot of the time Do you work at the shelter Guardienne? They have some beautiful dogs there and it's great to know they are safe and well looked after :) -
This happens all the time with greyhounds FTGH on Gumtree. The anti racing fanatics ring trainers that are advertising on GT and abuse the crap out of them, trainers pull the dog and euth it. They have no idea the damage they've done as trainers won't bother again, I have personally spoken to trainers and all I can say is yes...freaks is the correct word

This mornings effort was not as successful. Muuuuuuuuum make her get off!

Note the manic eyes of the assassin, a bird had just landed in the tree outside as I took this pic. Look closely at the eyes

He'd have nothing if he tried to eyeball Maddie. Having seen her snap a mynah bird mid flight out of a tree old mate Manly seagull could puff up all he wants, I know the outcome

How wonderful his energy levels are up and he's enjoying his walks Bit of a fashion parade there Digby, reminded me of that corny song from years ago by Right Said Fred... ...I'm to sexy for my jammies, as I do my little thing on the catwalk

This guy would have taken Maddie on... he was feral! 14-06-2014-seagulls-manly 579 by tdierikx, on Flickr T. Nope RuralPug is right, if it flies it dies as far as Maddie's concerned. I don't call her the beady eyed assassin for nothing That's a brilliant photo T TSD that's gold

I'm not sure he'll remember that move again tomorrow but hey ya never know  When it comes to food he's a Rhodes scholar but he's never been big on problem solving, much easier to just go and sit somewhere else but this morning I could see that light flickering. It was hilarious, he was on that mat quicker than a seagull on a chip  Stan is maturing. True genius takes time. I guess so grumpette, it's only taken him 4 years to go "hey Maddie, look what I've got"

That's great "even though she smelled like satan's bottom"

As most know Stan is not the brightest star in the sky bless him but today I watched him hatch a plan to get the dog bed in the sun. This mat is the first to get the morning sun in the loungeroom before it comes in on the lounge and Maddie always gets to it before Stan. The morning ritual is he stands there staring at her while she ignores him BUT this morning after a few minutes he looked at a toy a few feet away then leapt on it and started shaking it madly. Maddie never lets him have a toy she always takes it off him so this is where his plan comes together. Up she jumped, took the toy and proudly pranced off with it while he quickly took possession of the sunny spot. The look on her face when she came prancing back into the loungeroom was priceless  Stan enjoying his moment of brilliance :D

It's not weird at all, I had the exact same feeling when I gave my old ridgeback cross his wings at age 16. I actually didn't want another dog ever, my old boy had ridden shotgun through thick and thin for a large chunk of my life and getting another dog just didn't seem right. Then 9 months later my bright idea of fostering came about, I thought this is the go I don't have to commit to another dog...pffft epic fail lol. Yep that decision will be many years off Dave, your girl has a lot more living to do yet :)

Brave little Leo A fiend of mine has four Daccies, they can be feisty little dogs.

When I decided to foster greyhounds and Stan walked into my life I was smitten with the breed. After researching and finding that greyhounds are one of the few large breed dogs with no genetic disorders and a lifespan of 12 to 14 years I thought YES this is the breed for me, until Osteosarcoma reared it's ugly head Stan will always be the greyhound that started my passion for the breed and I will always have them now until the day I fall off my perch, I'm not young I am 50 years old. Whatever the future holds for us greyhounds are now in my blood, I won't not have one for the fear of what might happen. All I'm saying is never say never Dave.

That's great news Dave Sending lots more positive vibes your way :)

Yep told you I had no idea  That's interesting Aphra thanks for the info on SADS. I just thought I'd put her here in case someone was looking for a dear old soul to lay on the couch :) -
Yes same with my Maddie being white. I'd get perfect shots of Stan...through the car window as he'd refuse to get out  Great photos Leah it looks like you all had a ball
