  1. I was thinking a bit of Dane? :/ I'm hopeless at picking cross breeds though. She is a beautiful girl whatever she's crossed with, I just love the oldies.
  2. I love that photo Leah! That needs to be framed or on a canvas or something it's gorgeous.
  3. I've never heard of the Save-A-Dog Scheme shelter but saw this dear old girl on Facebook this morning. At this age she deserves a warm, comfy couch this winter http://www.saveadog.org.au/dogs/dogs_medlarge.asp#
  4. Yep that was Sid who was in his 90's and adopted an older grey We homed a greyhound quite a few years ago to an 84 year old man here on the Coast. She was a quite little girl and used to sit on the porch with him or potter around in the vege garden while he weeded, it was a perfect match. My friend who originally fostered this girl ran into his daughter at the park just the other day and she had Pepper with her, her dad is in a nursing home now and she has Pepper but takes her to visit her dad all the time. Greyhounds are for all ages :D
  5. Hmmmm can I see a greyhound in your future DD? :p Great pics :)
  6. My two have only had fleas twice in the four years I've had them and were treated with a Comfortis tablet each at the time. They are wormed a couple of times a year and are on Value Heart for heartworm.
  7. An on leash park where people actually obey the law??? Wouldn't happen up here sadly...wish I was closer. Edited to say on leash not off
  8. Far out that was close! It's just hit us up here, an hour ago I took the dogs to the park in brilliant sunshine, now it's black as and pouring rain!
  9. Lamb flaps and chicken wings here. Stan is not a caring sharing kinda guy when it comes to food so I only feed bones that can be consumed fairly quickly. After my old boy having several snapped teeth removed after feeding weight bearing bones I would never feed them again.
  10. Let us know how it goes Rebanne. So far so good. No sloppy poor, no farts, no scratching. And fussy boy appears to like it.
  11. What a prick People like him have taken the simple pleasure of walking my greyhounds away from me...arsewipe
  12. Thank you yes they are wonderful. Perse has given some excellent advice, you need to do what you feel is right for both your family and Jesse but you are already aware of what road you may have to take. It's hard Keep us posted, you're not alone.
  13. You have gone through a lot Alex, I'm sorry for the loss of your JS in the earthquake how heartbreaking for you I don't think you are foolish for getting a large breed at all, I have greyhounds and I'm definitely not young. I will always have them no matter what age I get to :) I'm sorry I have no advice but just wanted to send you a hug as well
  14. Ah ok hope you find somewhere and don't forget we'd love to see some pics :)
  15. She's so cute CC! Tiny compared to the others. I cracked up at the zoomies, I reckon she'd give the greyhounds a run for their money
  16. That's what we thought about bear and doof, and you've seen how that turned out  And I'm sure if you explained to Stan that it was a giant fridge, he'd chew his way out of the car to get to it Good point PD he would too
  17. What sort of dog do you have? Are you sure they'd like to see the snow? I love the snow but my greyhounds wouldn't even get out of the car...well they would for about 5 seconds
  18. It's snowing up at the Blue Mountains. Maybe Talbingo, it's dumping down at Jindabyne.
  19. Cool! I bet he'd love a buddy to run around with like he had in Brissie :) Have you had a beer in every pub yet :p there's only about 30 of them in town isn't there?
  20. Great photos, you can see how much Esky loves racing
