  1. Sounds like my old GSD he trusted some people and not others if it was him I would be worried about the boy getting bitten, zorro likes everyone even the people I dont lol, there is one lady that sends shivers up my spine and I'm on edge with her I think takes drugs ( OH fixes her computer so I was at the house when she dropped it off) zorro despite my best effort to keep him away from her had to say hallo with lots of licks and tail wags and cuddles, which worries me as he would easily be taken. OH has just told me he has ordered the camaras from his supplier, and I'm trying to find a site that does signs
  2. Im not worried about zorro biting the boy thank dog!! But he is such a people dog and I'm worried the boy might take him or do somthing to him as zorro is so trusting. But the boy might have just wanted to play with him as he is such a friendly dog. Other thing is he might have wanted to get in the house. But who knows I'm just going to get the camaras and I think I might put up a sign to. I'm not allowed to modify the fence as its a rental. I might just keep zorro in the laundry I only work 6 hr shifts and OH is in and out all day as he runs his own business.
  3. No there no toys and he wouldn't say why he was there, the parents said they would have a good word to him about it. He is about 13 14 year old and lives right up the other end of the street. I'm just glad I have good naighbours.
  4. Yet another drama added to my life my naighbour caught a young boy climbing my fence to get in my back yard when I and OH was out. Apprently she told him off and rang his parents about it, and I thanked her alot for catching him for me and ringing his parents. But I'm worried about why he would climb my fence we don't have anything our back garden just a couple of palm trees. The only thing in the back garden is zorro. OH said he knows the boy and he is good kid as far as he knows. But well I'm worried just wondering of there was anything I could do, Im getting OH to put up some camera's so we can keep watch while I'm at work. But not sure of there was anything else I could do I don't like locking zorro up but I might do that to
  5. I dunno zorro loves cuddle and cuddles from other people, but he loves being a dog playing with his toys getting dirty, he is also loving his agility which he has just started :)
  6. My dads mate had a dog called "OI-U" it confused alot of people at the park
  7. Like I said before I think I smell a troll and I think ts time to stop feeding
  8. Percynality, is that you? Anyway, I agree with Greytmate and what others in this thread have said. I love my dogs and consider them family members but they are not my children. I strongly believe it's not only disrespectful to our dogs to treat them like people, but that it is extremely arrogant to assume they think and feel like we do. Dogs are their own wonderful creatures, they are not people. Yer I think it is percynality
  9. Thank god I was scared to say it first it does smell like troll in here. Not many trolls would bother to sign up for a forum a year before starting a thread and state in their introduction thread when they first joined that they are between dogs after one died. But the account could be hacked you never know
  10. Thank god I was scared to say it first it does smell like troll in here.
  11. THIS Wen we had to put our boy kovu down our vet was in tears just as much as we where they all sent us a card personal written and signed to say tey where sorry for our loss. They way they are with zorro and my horses they are just brilliant. But then the other vet clinic in town are hopeless and sooooo rude !!!!!!! You just have to find a good one
  12. His soft toys his fave is his yellow squeak duck, he loves chewing and running around with them. Then when he is tired he has somthing to snuggle with :)
  13. I would separate too, why not buy the new pup a treat ball to hide her dry food in so it lasts her for the day and she will ah e fun too :)
  14. huh? I'd like to know what steps these people took in order to locate the owners, all I got from that was they found a dog, decided to keep it and took it to a vet. Of course it may be a dog that has been dumped but then again there could still be someone out there missing their dog. If my dog went missing and ended up like Fiona I would just be happy if someone found him and gave him the love and care those people gave Fiona and that he had a wonderful home after the ordeal he must have gone throught. I'm just glad there are good people in the world that are kind enough to help a dog in need and even pay to restore the vision in her eye.
  15. Wel I'm just glad there was no big deal made of it, the one time we take rusty further than the end of the street. ( he has really bad hips) Our council Law says if someone is bitten but the dog was properly restrained ( on a lead) then the worst that could happen is rusty is declared a DA. OH's mum tired a muzzle on him but he wouldn't move he just stood there scared she is just sticking to walking him to the end of the street as everyone knows not to pat him. we don't know how much longer he will last with his hips.
  16. I'm so glad to hear the good news!!! You must be so happy he was found safe and sound
  17. Gosh it is just one drama after another with the dogs in y life at the momet. Me and OH was taking zorro for a walk and we walked past OH mums place and rusty the ( GSD x ridgeback) was running up and down the fence line so OH went and got his lead to bring him along to. Anyway as we walked along some of OH customers where outside doing the gardening so they came over to say hallo, and the man went to pat rusty OH told him not to but he stuck his hand over his head anyway and well rusty bit him. OH was so upset he was so worried lucky it was just a scratch but was apologizing and was offering to pay any medical expense if he needed it seenig, too and told him that's why rusty is always locked out back when he came over. Anyway OH rang tey man back later to check if he was okay, and to apologize again. And OH mum went around this morning to apolagize yet again and the man was fine about it and said it was his fault as OH told him not to touch him. So thank dog. I have had enough drama for now to last me the year.
  18. I think the reason why we feel so much for our pets, is that they are there with just as much or MORE than family, tey never say anything mean, they are loyal, and they have SO much love to give. I was in alot of pain the other night and it wasn't my OH that noticed first it was zorro he came over and just snuggled in quietly which is not normal for him, normally as to lick and try to play or be a wiggle bum. But he just quietly snoozed on my belly ( it was girl pains). I think it would be hard not to grief over the animals that fill our life with unconditional love.
  19. My OH or my mum would take zorro of anything happens, and if they couldn't my freinds would be lining up at the door to take him as they all find him adorable LOL. My horses would go to my freind to rehome for me as she is the only one I would trust to find them goo homes :)
  20. Zorro has just had his retained testical removed I was amazed it only cost an extra $35 on top a regular desexing. Zorro's recovery didn't take longer than normal just the usual trying to keep him still and calm. He also went with out fluids ( I ticked the wrong box) I was beside my self when I found out. I was just so worried leaving him. But the vet was sure it was sure it was sitting just outside the sack or in his abdomen, and it turned out it was on the left side of his abdomen. So I was luckily that it wasn't to hard to find. I waited till zorro was 10 months I did want to wait till 12 months but I was a bit scared it would turn cancerous. But yer it was very straight forward and nothing to worry about :) all I can say is make sure you read the paper work properly and triple check what you ticked.
  21. Yep I totally agree, I still get sad when i think of my GSD kovu he was family and as far as I am concerned he was a relative. I had never felt so much pain before, losing him was a great loss even my mum still cracks up about him. I think I will always remember him
  22. Apprenty it is hard for them to prove it, as no dog was injured and I have no pictures. So they will get a warning letter from the council and if the dog is even sighted out of its yard again they will make a visit
  23. Okay I got on to the council, I'm so glad I wrote it all down once I got home. The lady said they would send a letter to the address where the dog was, as it was an aggressive attack. She told me to take a camaraderie with me while I walk so I take any pictures that would help them.
  24. Well me and zorro got rushed at AGAIN today it's like I'm all ways getting rushed at by aggressive dogs, I think some of you have read my other topics about the other ones, OH took his mums/ his dog with us as he looked like we wanted an extra walk when we went past.( he is a GSD x ridgeback they adopted from the RSPCA when he was a pup) anyway we where walking along and a jack russle came running up to us hair on end teeth showing growling rusty went for the small dog went he came to close and just got away in time, mean while zorro has dropped to the floor shaking and scared by the whole thing. Then the jack russle came at zorro and this set rusty of agin luckily OH had a hold of him but I kicked the dog it yellped, and finally backed off enough for us to get out of there and all I heard was this lady yelling something and next door naighbour yelling at her to keep her " little sh$@t locked up". God I feel so bad that I kicked it but it was so aggressive and I dunno what it would have done to zorro I panicked. Anyway I have just posted now as I have finished writeing the events down for the council. I feel like I ring up all the time about aggressive dogs not under control, we have some lovely dogs in the area too like a lovely staffy that sits out side in the front garden when his owner is doing gardening he will come over for a pat and if the owner says stop e will and the owner will make sure he stays away unless you say it is okay for him to say hallo. But god tonights events could have gone so wrong I see what people say now when you don't have much time to think. I hope the newspaper dose publish somthing about dog laws it is so bad here. I rang the council but only got a Mashine so I left my details but I think I will ring them again. I just feel bad ringing like I'm dobing but the dogs I have called about have been really aggressive. I have had dogs run up and bark buy don't come close I don't bother with them I just keep walking and ignore them. Sorry just feel like I'm for ever posting on here about them or ringing someone about them. Ps sorry for any mistakes I will fix them when I find them ( using iPhone)
