  1. LOL Yes, that's the thing! One is nearly crawling and the other is flat out! Hmmm... What to do lol!! Thank you!! Split level houses hey, you either love em or hate em!!
  2. Awww that's terrible Condolences to her family and friends
  3. Maybe I should be glad I used paypal? I mean, I have a chance of getting my money back I guess... Thank you
  4. Thanks Drumbeat, I check gumtree and the paper every day lol! I'll give myself until Monday to decide I guess! Thank you
  5. As we have two very young girls, the eldest of which is extremely busy and is on the go non stop (20 months), we thought it might be best to have somewhere in the loungeroom where the pup could retreat when tired, or just wants to rest. Would it even be worth it do you think? So confused lol!
  6. OOhhh damn... Guess I should have read some reviews hey?
  7. OOohh I didn't know there was such a site! Thank you! However, I just checked, and I still got it cheaper than the cheapest mentioned there!! I love a good bargain
  8. I was just looking online to buy some Cesar Millan books, in particular his puppy one, and I found them from $10.95 with free shipping on all orders from www.fishpond.com.au I checked for a few other books too, and they're all pretty cheap! Might be worth a look if you're after a particular book!
  9. Our closest bunnings is an hour and a half away! Though I might look into it anyway! We plan on having him sleep in our room for as long as he wants to, but would prefer him on a trampoline bed next to our bed once he is a bit older and house trained. And then we would have the crate in the lounge room I guess. Argh, so confusing! Thank you for replying! I really appreciate it! He's our first dog together, and my very own first dog and first ever puppy. I've never even held a puppy of any type before, so it's very very new to me! We're only young-ish, I'm 23 and my partner is 22. He grew up with lots of dogs inside, and I grew up until 10 with the occasional outside only dog, permanently leashed onto a run thing. My parents aren't dog people :-/ So yes, everything is very new to me and I get so excited and confused with everything! Thank you!
  10. Awwww beautiful! I admire talented people!
  11. So I'm not afraid to admit it... I'm a penny hoarder. I hate parting with money. I'm also INCREDIBLY indecisive, to the point I drive everyone nuts. I have been known to spend 35 minutes in the supermarket trying to decide between getting peppermint chocolate, or coconut rough chocolate, and it took me over a month to decide between a black labrador or a golden retriever!! So many sleepless nights!! The dilemma is, we live in a split level house, where the bedrooms/bathroom/toilet are all down 5 stairs from the rest of the house. The bedroom where our crate will be is literally at the other end of the house from the loungeroom, and as it's a 42" crate, with a metal tray, I don't imagine my partner or myself to want to bring it to the loungeroom every morning. But, I don't want to have to part with another roughly $70 just to get another crate for the loungeroom. Is there anything else to use that sort of does the same thing? Eventually, when he grows, I want him to sleep on a normal trampoline type bed next to ours of a night, so I'm so confused :-/ Any help would be soooooo appreciated! (Please don't attack my penny pinching ways, or my indecisiveness!!)
  12. Awww what an awesome name!!! 8 days? Wow lucky you! We have to wait until around the 8th of August!
  13. Would the medium size deer antler chews from that website be good for a golden retriever pup? I'm assuming it's safe to give them to young pups? It says they're 14-16cm. Our pup will be 8 weeks when we get him. Or would it be better to wait until he is older? Thanks!!
  14. Stay here grumpysmurf! He's beautiful! I can't wait to see some more pics when you get him home!! There's an ad on telly here in Tassie everynight about how people should get a labradoodle from the place in Launnie! Very very popular down here! So be assured that he's coming from a great place!
  15. So true. I've seen apparently pure bred labradors in my local pet shop for $1200, roughly the same you'd pay for a pure bred from a registered breeder! Have also seen maltese x shih tzus selling for $950! My partner is only doing one day a week of work at the moment, and we are both on centrelink, and we can still afford $1200 for a pure bred golden retriever. So I don't believe the cost of pure breds is the problem. Also, take into account, puppies in pet shops and from backyard breeders most likely haven't been microchipped, vaccinated or wormed etc.
  16. Grumpysmurf, what type of dog is he?? He's beautiful!!
  17. Hi guys, I'm organising to get a bag of black hawk adult (not the puppy) in a few weeks time, around the time our pup will be 9 or 10 weeks old. The breeder weans them onto a combination of Pedigree, ProPlan and CoPrice. Do I just mix it in with the Pedigree and CoPrice that we'll have? And slowly use more black hawk and less of the other two over a few weeks? Thanks heaps!
  18. YES!!! Very anxious!! I think I check my e-mails every ten minutes LOL!! I hate waiting so much!! They do look like teddy bears!! My partner wanted a mini schnauzer, so we both have a soft spot for them!!
  19. Hi guys, I can't find information anywhere about what age is safe for a puppy to start taking Sentinel Spectrum. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you!
  20. We pay by cash, and they give us a receipt! For real? How crazy! What did you do?
  21. I was asked by my breeder whether I had a preference for either a dark or light coloured Goldie. I said I'd rather a darker one, but either way I'm not too fussed! Both his parents are beautiful, so I'm sure he'll look similar to one of them!! His mum is the most amazing, pale cream colour, and his dad has a bit of darkening on his back and head, but either way they're both beautiful!
  22. Awwwww So cuuutteee!! I can't wait to get my puppy!!
  23. We'll be crate training our golden pup, our breeder says its so much easier to house train them, which will be handy for us with our two kids!! We got ours from ebay for $70 all up, including post! And it's a 42" one! Massive!
