As it is summer, our two cant get enough of the water and Gus has the nick name water horse because he gallops through the water :).... dogs swimming = happy human.

Artemis, Chicken, eggs & dairy (yoghurt, cottage cheese) Why, because its low in purines and both our dogs are doing very well on them. I found the ingredients in Artiemis to be awesome as well packed full of good quality stuff. Ow might I add since we have had him on this diet there have been NO smelly farts, everthing else used to make him so gassy.

Thanks for the replys guys!.. hahah its just so frustrating because I want to give him a huge cuddle im just as excited to see him half the time but i know any vocal expression will get him more excited so I am so calm... I do ignore him, but once he sees he wont get attendtion he will take it out on a toy or run around the yard? do I still just keep ignoring him until he is not interested in me?

I have tug toys, he loves them and when he is calm that is the only time I will play with him.... I will take a video when I get home so you see what I mean, he tried to get as close as possible to me to the point where he is stepping all over me and thats not close enough so he will jump up, but I will start on NILIF, I have been meaning too for a while now.

When I see Gus in the morning, when I come home, or any time of the day in general he is SUPER excited to see me... as are most dogs when they see their owners... but Gus ALWAYS aims for my face with snappy/jittery jaws and its super hard to just pat him without your feet being stepped on, and him constantly turning in circles prctically on you and him jumping up to eat your face.... even when he is calm and I am sitting on the ground its straight for my face!! any suggestions on how I can stop this behaviour, I have never enabled him to think its acceptable behaviour, as soon as he does it I will walk away, shut down ignore him, but when I do that he will grab the nearest toy and go to town on it.... I just want to enjoy a nice cuddle without teeth in my face... any suggestions?

Well you see Gus has a preference of doing this to males whilst they are peeing sometimes? am i missing something lol

Ok a little OT but why do dogs do this!!!, Gus used to do it alot as a pup and i thought he thought Nala had milk? but he still kinda does it to some dogs :S its 1.Embarrassing and 2. gross lol

Well, for a while now I have been very obsessed with French Bull Dogs, and I want one why I want one: They are cute They are small and compact and I can hide it in my bed They get along well with other dogs and im sure many more reasons will follow over time but I know it will not be in consideration for another 4-5 years at least my life needs to be stable before I consider buying another dog but I will be starting my research and looking into breeders and rescue and everything else until the time where I can finally bring a little nugget into my life.

You my dear have no idea how happy this makes me!! lol because I thought I was the only one with a nightmare puppy lol.

This would have to be my favorite thus far hahah what a little cutey! such great achievement

If you have some good Christmas dog treat recipes post them in here, im keen to bake. I have noticed a lot of dog commercial/boutique treats contain sugar of some sort, I would assume the addition of sugar is not necessary? And egg is not used.... :S (if there is already a thread for this someone point me in the direction) cheers.
