  1. and you so know his name should be Loris
  2. I'd like to know what the Corgi breeders think of this and if they consider it to be overkill ? It's not my breed but I am concerned about the number of GA's or heavy sedations that would be required during a dogs lifetime to carry out all of these x-rays. I know I wouldn't be subjecting any 11 year old dog of mine to a GA. Just looking at that and going off current prices here, I would expect that testing would come to around $3000 per animal and that's without travel, time off work or price rises. Would the $ spent and all of those tests be of any benefit to the breed ?
  3. Looks like it says if you have ANKC papers from any of the governing state bodies, then you have an Amstaff. Which unless someone has been dodgy, you do. Dogs QLD look to have secured the future of the papered American Staffordshire Terriers and good on them.
  4. There is no " national data base " and the breeders availble through the state Canine Councils are only those who pay to advertise
  5. I find that hard to believe that you are coming up with nothing but rubbish. The breeder that I would recommend advertises on DOL, their dogs are health tested, farm raised and have great temperaments. You may however, have to wait for a puppy.
  6. My comment was " fwarkie won another BIS, 'twas only an Open though " LOL
  7. I think people who think it's a BIS are misleading themselves :D
  8. It does matter if you do not wish to see the dog or bitch in the ring ever again.
  9. I chipped before we were required to by law. I did it because I would always know ( by the chip number ) that I had bred a certain dog or bitch. I've never had to rescue one of my own from a pound but I have on a couple of occassions thought one could be mine and called with the chip details to find out.
  10. Where's the photos???????????????????? : :D I's seen him
  11. Why would you choose a relaxin ober an ultrasound ? Just curious as sacks will show up on US at 32 days.
  12. pffftttt grazing is beneath my ladies, if it's not on a silver platter, they don't eat it
  13. Breeders should be chipping their puppies, regardless of the legislation. Chip number goes on the receipt and it's a little bit of peace of mind and security for the breeder and and buyer. Should the puppy go missing, at least you can prove it is yours or be contacted if someone finds it.
  14. I don't own one but board two dogs that come with their own. They are the standard but I love them. They are soft and have a weight and clip that just seems to be balanced, if that makes sense
  15. Ask for the details of the feeding requirements in the puppy pack to be sent to you now, so that you can purchase in advance. We send our puppy packs well before the pups leave home, so the new owners have all of the details
  16. Returned dog ( from earlier post ) to it's owner, who asked had it been good ? My response was no, it snapped, snarled, lunged and had no idea how to interact with other dogs and no manners. The response was " oh, hehehehehe ". Needless to say that's one that will never be coming here again. I just cannot believe the attitudes. It's not fair on the dog to deprive it of socialisation and life experiences, that basically set it up for failure and in some cases to be eaten. Dogs like that are stressed and how can life be enjoyable.
  17. His breeder should be contacted and given the opportunity to take the dog back, if they are willing.
  18. I've just boarded a little bastard of a dog for three days. No manners, not socialised, snarls and snaps at anything and of course it's fine, as it's just a small dog. Not just aggressive and out of control around other dogs but has some lovely habits like hiding behind things and then running out to bite you.
  19. who cares what the triggers are, fix the fence, plug up the gaps and do not let there near each other again .
