how is everyone going now? I just did my block two training. -
Thats what i was thinking Danois. thanks!

cool. Will head to butcher tomorrow and get fatty meat, and grab the rest of the stuff when i go real shopping tomorrow afternoon. Another stupid question - are they something you can use long term? I could give her one a day to help keep weight on? or are they too fatty for that and could make them sick with long term use?

How To Stop 8-9 Month Old Puppy Jumping Up On Strangers To Say Hello A
Teebs replied to fainty_girl's topic in Puppy Chat
dont allow her off lead till you can control her. To stop my Bull Terrier jumping, i didnt give him the chance, if someone came over, he was on a lead, they could pat him ONLY when he was doing the right thing, if he started to jump, i would get the other person to get up and move away and ignore. -
Can i hijack? Are Satin balls the best way to put weight on a dog fast? Not sure if i should up her food, or just get some of these and feed them instead.

WOW! I am still amazed at this even happened. It does look huge, but it looks so much better and not as sore as the burn. Will this take most of the pain away for him? Poor boy

Vet, if i for a second thought it was parvo, i wouldnt be wasting time! it may be nothing, but i would be talking to the vets. Parvo is horrible -
I like check chains and have no problem with using them. But not on a puppy, My girl was 3.5 before i put one on her and it worked very well. I have seen trainers who know what they are doing, turn a dog around in no time at all with a check chain. I have used prongs, and do like it, but never got the same results that i did with a check chain. I have not really used one on Atlas, my main problem with my dogs is pulling, and well... AT walks to the end of the driveway and turns to go home, dont have much of a problem with pulling with him!

Sore Leg, Not Putting Weight On Foot?
Teebs replied to Teebs's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
thanks, we have a Chiro here we can go to, but just thought i would see if anyone has seen this before! I know when i got my staffy, every now and then she would freeze and scream in pain, happened about 5 times, vets could find nothing, then she got over it, never found out what it was ?? I didnt know about chiros back then, or i would have taken her in a second! thanks! -
Hi all, just a quick question about my friends dog He is 6 months old, 3 days ago they woke up to find him not putting any weight on his back right leg, they saw the vet who poked, prodded, pulled, pressed and god knows what else, and he should NO signs of pain. Vet thought he may have been bitten by a bee or wasp and that could be the reason, there were no marks on him that we could see, but if it just happened then maybe nothing had time to show. Vet also did the same all over him, in case it was a sore back, or tummy, but he was fine all over. 3 days later, he is now resting the foot on the ground, but putting no weight on it. I was there today with the vet, nothing she did worried him, she even lifted one side, so he had to put weight on that foot and walked him a few steps, and he acted as tho everything was fine. Nothing is broken or dislocated. I was wondering if anyone had seen anything like this before? He is his normal self, did have a bit of a temp 3 days when vets first saw him, but is fine now. Eating fine, drinking fine, Pee and Poops are also fine. There is nothing to say this dog has any problems, just that he wont put the bloody leg down! They are going to give him a few more days, recheck him and see where to go from there. I did mention a Chiro to them, could that help? Oh, he is also a Bull Terrier, very good at hiding their pain.. makes it hard at times!! Thanks Cin

Kaos had this once, when i got her vaccinated when i first got her, it took 2 weeks to go down, she has never had a problem since
-
Just saw that - My staffy is 16kgs, she gets one cup of Active a day, my Bull Terrier is 25 kgs, and he gets 1 cup of Holistic a day. Both get a bit of fresh meat or bones with that.

Ditto I wish i had the money, and the knowledge i would have done the exact same thing for my girl, who was 4 months old when she showed her aggression (i got her at 4 months old) but i didnt think it was a big deal, and thought i could handle it. *sigh* Good luck to your friend.
