My poor boy, he eats everything  Yesterday gave him a good rest, and i have managed to move him so no other dogs are next to him, so he isnt being as crazy. Im working the next 3 days, so wont be able to keep a close eye on him (i do reception, and help if the girls are behind as well as feeding the pups every 3 hours) fingers crossed he behaves himself. At least we are home Saturday night, and not going anywhere for a while! It may heal up

Add Tilly to that list, the Mum of the babies i am looking after, let her outside for some sun time, came back in, has also split her nail Hers is pretty sore, and it is also across ways, but right in the middle, i had a look and the groomer had a look, not much we can do with it (this is one of the nails she pulled out a few months ago, so must be a bit thinner?) Hi all, a few weeks ago Atlas tore a nail out. It has not healed one bit, it looks like it is healing, then he bumps it, I am at work at the moment and he has been kenneled here during the day, and in with me at night - he just came in bleeding all over the place, has ripped the top off again and a bit of his pad. I really dont know how to go about fixing it? He hates his feet being touched, so putting a bandage on alone is a no go - will it just heal in time? It looks so bloody sore

We did a litter with the spray, and kaos got it last week. All doing fine, Kaos did get a little runny nose, but as she had has Canine cough the last few weeks, a little snotty nose was better than the big one she had (no, i didnt vacc her while she was sick, or because she was sick! HEr Vac expired on the 17th, so she was due ) this is the 3rd time we have had Canine cough, and the first time i have taken them to the vet because of it, and only because kaos lost 3kgs in a few days from coughing, normally i let it run its course and use benadryl hope thepup feels better soon :D

Beahvioural Changes After Desexing?

At was done at 2.5. He stopped humping EVERYTHING and also stopped cocking his leg on EVERY tree when we were out walking! -
you dont just get it from using a boarding kennel - they can get it by being near any other dogs, Kaos got it before and had never been near a kennel!

One full day with no coughing or spewing or anything!!

I don't think you can really blame the Kennels any more than you can blame a shopping centre for you getting the flu. It's simple maths and KC is really just a puppy cold. They need to know so they can take any possible precautions, but to suggest they are at fault is a bit harsh. I take every possible precaution with my two short of locking them in the house and not letting them go to training/competitions and yet they still ended up with it. i wish everyone was like you!~

Grrr I just got home from Sydney, kaos was sitting at my feet crying, then Spewed all over the rug - guess she is still feeling sick
-
Tell me about it! Kaos is going nuts, she just wants to go for a walk, i thought she was almost over it, but she had a good cough this morning, At is completely over it.

Just wondering if anyone is having a bad breakout of Canine (kennel) Cough? It is all over Orange and Bathurst at the moment, i have talked to someone in Qld who said it is bad in their area, as well as a few WA people - Why has it come out this bad so fast? The 3 vets I have talked to about it have said nearly every dog they are seeing has it.

My first dog was crated down stairs, when i was living at mums (for a few weeks!) I set an alarm for every few hours, and he went to the loo each time. I slowly extended the time between each stop - This dog has only ever gone to the loo inside once, and that was when he was REALLY sick. My Staffy was crated next to my bed, i didnt set an alarm, but when i heard her start to move around, i would get up and take her out. She still does a 2am and a 6am pee EVERY night, but i am now used to it and usually wake before she starts to cry! (She is 3!)

man, i dont know what to do both were up most of the night with coughing and sniffing, they were doing so well the last few days! Just woke up and its snowing, so glad i am home so they dont have to go out!!
-
thanks guys, think i will stick to that plan. Dont want to throw money away to the vets! Will see how they are in the morning, if any worse, i will take them, if not, will call it off

benedryl is what they are on at the moment. I know that if i goto the vets, they are going to stick them on Anti Bios and send them home, and i hate drugging them up if i dont need to...

Hey guys, just a quick question KC is going around town at the moment (pretty bad, got a letter from the vets warning about it) Both my guys have been coughing. Kaos had KC last year in WA, and it was horrid, snotty nose, and she didnt stop coughing at all during the day. What my guys have now is a cough, but only when they are excited, or are put outside to pee and its cold. Inside they are pretty good. Both are coughing up gunk when they do cough. I do have a vet appointment at 2 tomorrow afternoon. What i want to know is, would you take your dogs to the vets if they were not too bad? I have some cough syrup here i have them on, but not sure if going to the vets is a waste of time. I actually didnt take kaos last year, and she got over it within 2 weeks.

Finished most days by 5:30, had one late night, had to go and visit a dog club that ran at night, were home by 10pm. We stayed at Dural Caravan park, couldnt tell you the prices, as i didnt pay! Next time i think i am going to go with a friend, i will be taking Kaos in november - So will have 2 crates in my car for the dogs to sleep in, and will find a caravan to crash in at night!
-
Crap, i am guessing we did see each other! I had Micky - the large brindle dog that Steve kept talking about because of her focus on food! I remember the name being said, murphy, but waas soo bloody tired and trying to keep Micky from eating my hand i didnt notice anyone else!
-
Just wanted to bump this. I just walked in the door after 8 days of training in Sydney, had a total ball and learned soooo much! I am actually disappointed to be home!
