http://www.airdogs.com.au/agility/home.php?cat=250 They have chutes which aren't overly pricey.
-
I can get a photo of them - they are looking a bit worse for wear but I have had them since 2006 and 2007 . ETA. A photo of my WA made furry ones And if anybody is in the market for some all in one tug lead/collar combos - my favourite overseas site http://www.kollarsbykathryn.com/ Not cheap but very nice quality - hanging out for our first agility trial of the year so I can use them.
-
Hmmm i'd grab a 3m tunnel and cut that in half to make a chute . Air dogs sell chutes.
-
Awesome RubyStar where do you buy them from and were they very expensive?
-
Just to update I got in contact with Jacque and yep she still makes the furry ones and they are $15.
-
Looks good RubyStar. Can I ask how you attached the board to the uprights?
-
Thanks for that Ptolomy - I'll see if i can chase up Jacqui and work something out. I have 2 of hers - one I bought in WA as Ness's CDX title present and another I bought at the Adelaide Nationals .
-
I ordered some awesome ones from the US valleyCBR depends on your budget . Not sure they are what this person is after though otherwise I'd suggest it to them.
-
Hey question for the WA agility people - somebody tonight asked me if I was going to the Perth Nationals and if I was could I pick them up a couple of the tug leads which seem to be so popular over there. They got one from the Adelaide Nationals from I think it was Jacq Winton. I said I would ask around and see if we could organise them and get it posted over. Does anybody know if she still makes them or whether anybody else in WA makes the ones with the furry sort of fleece.

Just going to put a post in here to say that the details/tickets have gone on sale for the Steve Courtney workshop on the 8th of May. If people are interested they can PM me for further information or if you wish to purchase a ticket you can do so at Steve's website - see link below: http://www.k9pro.com.au/pages.php?pageid=10 Hoping to turn it into a nice DOL gathering and possibly we might closer to the date discuss the option of chipping in for lunch and making it a DOL day .

OT. I saw about the change in CK think Kenz could use a boot camp holiday she is a bit to soft sometimes .
-
I know some BCs are into playing in a big way but Ness went from playing as a pup to not interested in playing with other dogs. I am not sure how much of Kenz's focus on me I encouraged from the time she was small though. She likes to play with other dogs but given the choice of play or work then she is usually more keen on work. Ness has never played with Kenz.
-
I would occasionally love for my two to play with other dogs as I get entirely fed up with being their sole entertainment provider. It gets beyond a joke sometimes when I let them off at the park and the youngest just starts bouncing at me wanting to interaction/train/play rather than go and do anything with anybody else. Its demanding having to always have planned interactions and sometimes I'd appreciate the down time - yep selfish me . Do you want to trade Agility Dog .

Okay, This Probably Shouldn't Be In General

Obedience Instructors Going Too Far!
ness replied to Miss Squish's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I just want to say as far as Miss Squish's posts there is nothing in any of her post that actually state which club she attends so I actually find it strange that a new person should jump to defend something which was in part an observation of a situation at training but there was no mention of who or what club. -
RS - so do I get photos of your solid jump .
-
RubyStar I have been tossing up a tunnel for a while and not seen anything this good quality that closely resembles trial gear for the attached price tag. The normal kid tunnels aren't anywhere near as long or as good.
-
I thought I might also add that our run throughs are like you would have in the ring. You can reward whenever you feel like it not just at the end of an exercise. Do some heeling reward then start again. Its basically like a normal training session with the added bonus of somebody to call you through or put out articles and pretend to judge.
-
mirawee - agility at the adelaide royal is usually Sunday with jumping the following Wednesday evening.
-
Ness gets a UD run through each week - mostly I try and do a full run through or at least do the majority of a run through. Sometimes I'll skip an exercise here or there. Kenz has been getting novice run throughs semi-regularly. But sometimes I'll add an extra Open exercise or two or not do a full round with her.

Can Somebody Explain Obedience Trialing To Me Please?
ness replied to Bonnie Pup's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I have seen CD titled dogs who are still unstable and do runners regularly when training in Open so doesn't necessarily mean anything . -
I will probably be there with at least one and possibly both dogs - Novice and UD.
-
Jealous Kavik!!!! Although that would defeat the purpose of it being light .
-
Kavik - it withstood the midget bouncing on top of it . I would probably want to find an alternative means to stake it to the ground with a high drive dog and intend on doing so for Kenzie. I am not happy with the way it stays in place. I also didn't have it staked in as many places as I should have though as it was hot, I was being lazy and didn't really want to set it up properly.
-
Wasn't much discount for 2 when I looked RubyStar. I have a tunnel, 12 weavers, 7 stick in the ground jumps, 3 freestanding jumps, a broad jump and a UD box .
