  1. Louis doesn't hump anything....yet My first cat used to occasionally hump his blanket. Only cat I ever knew who did that.
  2. All puppies looking BEAUTIFUL! I really need to resize some pics...
  3. That's so lucky! Will you be having play dates? That would be amazing! I always get a bit sad that Louis won't see his sister again
  4. Thanks Aliwake, it seems to be quite different than cats so I better read up on it. I can't believe I have neglected this subject, I really just thought I'd ask a vet or breeder, but forgot. BAD mummy I have emailed breeder but will also pop into the vet's tomorrow. Dory, welcome to the thread! Willow is gorgeous. I'm bringing Louis to petbarn with us tomorrow, held in arms but still with some trepidation about him catching something
  5. My nephew would go the extra mile and BEG everyone to PLAY with it!!! Without getting into too much detail... To me it makes even MORE sense for females to do it Ok ok, thinking about dog anatomy that makes no sense......
  6. Steph they're called Fun Machine. Described as "Electropop to indie rock and alt-folk. Sounds weird but is AWESOME". So we'll see. I'm sure Louis will just sleep, I just feel bad leaving him completely alone for the first time. The radio is always on so I doubt he can tell the difference between people being in the house or not! It interferes a bit with his schedule (dinner - pen time - cuddle - bedtime). Will be more like dinner and bedtime in pen, with no cuddles or being let out I'm sure he'll survive! I accidentally kicked him today (I was only wearing ugg-style slippers though) and he also had a traumatic moment when something frozen fell out of the fridge when I opened the door. He's over both incidents now, so I'm sure tonight won't kill him  Can't wait to see Jack's puppy!
  7. Lisa - If I make my own it'll probably not work out at all anyway  Steph - Enjoy it while you can! We're going to a gig tonight, it's the first time we'll leave Louis home alone And The Great Gatsby is out this weekend, so might leave him alone again before Monday Or maybe just leave it till next weekend.
  8. My puppy is only 10.5 weeks old, but he's very well behaved even when upset. He finds ways to calm himself down when put in his pen, sits calmly when meeting new people, and when getting brushed or combed. He learned "Sit" very quickly but I'm very inexperienced, so looking forward to puppy school starting on Tuesday and seeing how that goes. It's not much, and it might be common to most puppies, but it still fills me with pride.
  9. That's sweet! Maybe he liked one-on-one at home rather than a bunch of puppies on foreign ground :p
  10. How often do you guys worm your puppies? Breeder was doing it every 2 weeks, which would mean he's due this weekend, and I haven't arranged anything! Because of the other problems we had, we've wondered whether it was the Drontal causing them, so we're after a product with a different chemical, which has to be asked for at the vets. I can't believe I haven't sorted it out.
  11. That's brilliant! I'm a bit scared of what Louis will be like when he meets something else nearer his size.... Sometimes when he plays with his toy dog a completely different side of him comes out, it's scary!
  12. Aaaaaah Smash, this place will never be boring as long as you keep telling us of Tank's antics  I'm also desperately trying to teach NO. Puppy school can't come soon enough :p
  13. Been without Internet for a couple of days, except for crappy 3G on my phone (which also decided it would stop working as normal). I really missed my DOL fix!!! Lisa - That is brilliant! I'm just learning to sew, so there's no way I'd noticed any mistakes. You've given me ideas though, now I want to try my hand at making one for Louis! Lhok - Wow, poor Raiden and poor you! So glad he's better now, but did they figure out what was wrong or what caused it?
  14. Probably a good choice, nutrition-wise
  15. As usual, Louis was unfazed. He thought it was all very interesting, but not more interesting than daddy's ball (that sounds wrong, I know...) Smash, I took him out in my arms yesterday for the first time, and he was just not bothered. I think I just have a really chill pup I just hope he remains this way! ETA: the plumber's dog is named Louis too! Though I think he spells it Louie :)
  16. Oops... we have people coming to have a look at the drains.. Th laundry room has been flooded twice this week! It's the first time someone's coming into the house since Louis arrived, so I'm looking forward to his reaction. So far, he's a very chill guy, although becomes alert in new situations.
  17. Willow sounds great!! Can't wait to see a pic! i feel a bit bad, I didn't focus on instructions from the beginning
  18. Actually I confused myself, he gets about 2tsp less per day that I wrote! He didn't eat his dinner, grazed overnight, and didn't eat breakfast. If Banjo's eating and acting like a normal puppy I wouldn't worry. If he's leaving food it also means you're giving him enough, so all good I used to worry a lot too, but because Louis had to go back to the breeder's and we visited so much, became friends with breeder etc, most of my worries were allayed. The food question is the only one I asked over and over, since I REALLY didn't want to over feed him (very easily done with Yorkies)
  19. Absolutely! Unless you have a very rare type of carpet? eBay!
  20. Yeah I always feel sick if I haven't eaten in a long time. In the case of a hungry puppy, much better for it to vomit than get hypoglycaemic. Now THAT's scary!
  21. Thanks for letting me know! I did wonder but seeing an 'old' join date I figured she must just be the quiet type
