  1. HI All Apologies if this is not the correct forum, but hoping more Perth people will see this here than elsewhere. I am hoping for some recommendations for dog trainers in Perth. We will be welcoming an 8 weeks old Siberian Husky puppy into our lives on 2nd Jan and looking into trainers. We intend doing kindy/preschool and would ideally like someone with experience with this unique breed that we can take through different levels of training. We are North of the river but will travel further out for the right person. There is a a PawPrints kindy run at a pet shop very close to me, so I could possibly use this for kindy and go from there, however it might be better to stick with one trainer throughout? Many thanks Jase
  2. It sounds like Mrs Cranky is just being a be-atch. A vet practice can be a stressful place to visit for we humans, especially when our much loved pets are unwell. When you are next there I would either let the vet know how you feel about the staff and are considering moving or simply switch vets. If you switch vets I would make sure they know that Mrs Cranky is the person responsible for your move and for them to let you know if a time comes when she is no longer there. It seems that your Vet acknowledges this person's demeanour by calling her Mrs Cranky - however, they may not be aware though that this person could be damaging their business by alienating customers. Having said that I have never seen dogs sitting on human chairs at the Vet, and personally wouldn't do it, but it seems the chair is less of an issue than how you feel you are being singled out and made uncomfortable by this person. I do hope it all works out for you in the future.
  3. bugger, hope they don't move near me
  4. Hi Huski, Do you think the True Colours Shampoo is okay for a puppy?
  5. It's back in stock now :) many thanks!
  6. I see the showstopper shampoo is on back order - any idea when stock will be in?
  7. He's lovely, F-dog sounds pretty cool btw, but my money is on Flash!
  8. I said that.. but apparently that's a stupid name according to the man who agreed to call our cat Corpsegrinder  Corpsegrinder is a rather fantastic name. Not if you're a mouse in that house. :)
  9. Gorgeous pup! Flash! as in The Flash superhero
  10. Many thanks, I am looking forward to seeing pics of your Bullarab puppy!
  11. I received 5 week old photos from the breeder today! We are calling him Ronin which means masterless samurai and should relate to the free spirit of a husky. My daughter thinks Ro-Ro sounds cute (also sounds like barking) so we might see some alternate versions being used LOL

    Puppy Gold

I saw there was a bit of a discussion on another thread about this product so thought I would start a separate thread. I have a few questions about Puppy gold if I may. I will be getting a Husky puppy in around 5 weeks How does one feed Puppy gold to an 8 week old? Is it sprinkled on kibble or what do you do if feeding PMRD? Do you adjust the food quantity to account for the extra calories? Is there any concern with accelerated grown and strong joint formation with a supplement such as this? Many thanks
  14. I've been to an open day at the WA Sled dog association, and yeah they seem like a good bunch around 190 members I think! I am definitely going to participate when he is old enough - some 18 months away. I even have a mushing scooter LOL
  15. Thanks, and yep they definitely race their dogs.
  16. Thanks :D THis is the sire who the breeder thinks my puppy will look like.
