I'm sure they like freezer method. Just don't forget to throu them out! I was wondering, doesn't something like very fine mesh (10-20 cm high) on the bottom of fence help? Or they will climb? Thanks god, Stella learnt not to touch them, but I don't know about Solly. I only pick up a few very small ones sometimes.

yessss...its all very personal. Stella had very poor coat on BARF, and she looked fantastic and oily on SD Skin. And a few others in between. Solly looks good and poops good on anything (so far).

My dogs LOVE HSD, but the bits are big for a chinese crested, especially if they are old. I'd go for Eagle Pack (from dry ones). There is a distributer on northside, or you can order a big bag from the shop in racing complex in Albion park.

has he been to vet recently to check for any sores? I'd think about fresh food, too. It's difficult to start with, but once you know all your ingredients, it's not so bad! Another trick - could he be waiting for you to eat first or to allow him to eat? Try giving him food as a reward and after you had something in front of him. *typed after previous post - not so relevant now:(* How about veges in nice broth in addition to chicken wings? Most males adore soups....

I don't thik it's safe, though very temping! When we were in Dabbo zoo, a giraffe died a night before, from a storm. The keeper said, it's not easy to dispose it. So we naturally asked, don't they feed it to their animals? Apparently, they consider it's not safe to feed even that giraffe, bred in zoos for a few generations.

Our Stella also has very suspicious rear end. I took her to vets 3 times already, but each time she was diagnozed with likely, but uncertain injury. She always has difficulty rising after she layed, and sore leg for a few seconds. It appears and diappears. I don't like it:( I'll ask for an x-ray and will give that stuff recommended here earlier.

Solly had a bad hot spot above the tail, triggered by flea allergy. It was completely new to me, so I took him to the vet... next time I think I can manage it on my own (and start earlier! He had a BIG spot which I failed to notice under the hair). The course included: antibiotics (it was badly infected), shaved hair all around the spot; wash with chlorhexidine (from vet), every day, then reducing the frequency; and dab of Betadine. And antihystamine in tablets so that he wouldn't chew on it. He healed in about 2 weeks completely. Food for sensitive skin should do good, too.

my dogs go nuts for Hills! I still have to add a bit of cat food to Stella's bowl, but after that she just swallows it in 30 seconds. But gees, it's expensive:( I'm trying Supercoat Sensitive Skin this month. If doesn't go, I'll turn to Eagle Pack, I've found where to buy it easily. BTW, Advance has very tiny kibble size.

In children it's fixed by flushing, too..

What a usefull topic We have one ear standing up sometimes, and another always down, and the "puppy" is about 13m now - does this mean he will always have different ears?

We keep paws crossed! He isn't on Tribrissen or Metacam, is he? Stella had reaction to them, unknown before. She was OK as soon as I stopped those tablets.

I took a stray 1 yo from AWL, too:) Vets in Uni recommended to feed him a "puppy large breed" for another 0.5 - 1 year, to give him a boost. I don't see much point in giving the cooked loaf with dry food. If he eats just dry (I add some water... my personal liking ), that's fine... Plus chicken necks and wings, yougurt and cottage chese, sometimes whole eggs... for a difference. I stoped giving him any other bones, as he gulps them like crazy I feed Hills, and dog looks good, nice silky fur

Looking at picture... if you put Innotek there, he probably won't come to this part of backyard at all, as you would need about 50-70 sm radius zone for a reliable signal, and that's about half of the run... There are interferences in the corners, too, the signal may disappear or double, so you would look at organizing them another space to run. Another though... it was on a Dr Harry's segment recently. The dog may feel better if he can see what's happening on the other side of the fence. Maybe it could make sense to make a few "vieing holes" in the solid fence? I remember that he advised in another programm to make a whole "viewing platform" for a BC, so he could sit there and watch the surroundings far and about... and that stopped all jumping and digging.

A bone from roast won't be well coocked, probably. But still they crack with awfully sharp edges, even raw ones. I always feel uneasy when my dogs eat bones, it looks like a deadly excersise to me :rolleyes:

THere wouldn't be Dog Rocks if it wasn't common You can try helping the grass by fertilizing and watering it more, so it gets used to high levels of nitrogen. I'll probably give a go to the Rock as well... two dogs seem too much for our grass ;) Last week it was raining, and Solly decided that peeing inside is more pleasant that going out on the wet grass! )) We had to take him out for 3 nights in a raw, twice a night, to revive the "good peeing" skils :D

I wasn't happy with Revolution, I prefer Frontline and never had problems with it.

The flea dermatitis takes a while to resolve, can be a month or two! See your vet again if it gets bad or spreading, otherwise just wait:)
