Is there a law in NSW that your dog can bark 6 min in an hour and be PTS within 24 hrs if it doesn't obey? Poor dogs will soon have to pay for every breath... together with owners.

In that article people left the dog under rain with a non-waterproof collar on! How silly.

Actually I used to read about using an electric collar as a positive feedback ! On a weak setting. I just don't get what's the fuss is about... thousands of dogs don't get simple vet attention, or food, or just any attention... and someone is figthing for the rights of looked-after dogs?

My dog is interested in two major things: playing with dogs and running famous 25 km. Can't provide.

Stella is a very brave girl and she yelps. Solly is a SOOK and he doesn't. There's no point checking how the coollar works on human skin because of different conductivity and different sensitivity. It only matters how this particular dog reacts. I can touch electric fences and don't find them hurting badly. The collar is supposed to be on dog no more than 8 hours (by instructions). We take them off if dogs stay mostly inside, in the evening or on weekends.

It's like asking why aren't we rich and healthy to start with? For a simple example, we can't put a fence in front of the house due to boundary issues. It will take about a year to resolve them. It will take Stella 30 sec to run to highway.

in Logan any "non-standard" fence is permitted after a council approval.

Better electric fence, than a dead dog. After all, we all live in non-ideal conditions. To keep some dogs inside, the house would have to be turned into a fortress. And what if the gate is left open by some reason? Dead dog, again. At least, my dogs always stay inside, and nothing can make them to run out. They are happy. They just don't go through carport, that's it. Not all people can have huge fences, and sometimes it's easier to put pts the dog than to find a rental house. What should they do?

In what state were the carrots? If you mash vegies in water with a bit of taste... canned food or broth... would she like that? Mixed with dry food.

If the hair is dry, try adding flaxseed oil and fish oil to her food. But the dosage of fish oil would very tiny, maybe a capsule a fortnight. Did wonders for my dogs...

I noticed, often you read about some problem - and the next day you have it, too! Solly managed to lick off all skin just above the tail. And he is on Frontline, I didn't see any fleas. Will try that cream and t-shirt, may be.

Where would you get it? Is it a prescription?

We used Malaseb shampoo and Hills sensitive skin. Helped a lot.

I didn't have luck with travelcalm yet. Looked in two shops... out of supply. As always

As per instructions... a bit over an hour. 1h 15 min, I think. maybe it needs more? He didn't vomit on the way back, 4-5 hrs later. Vet said, they are very safe. These tablets are same as for people, you can get them on your own prescription, just check the dose.

I gave Solly the tablets (for motion sickness) from Vet last Sunday. Guess what? He vomited again

If they don't need washing, why do it? I only wash Stella after beach and once a fortnight in summer, as she gets sweaty and smelly. Otherwise short hair should clean itself perfectly.

If we lived further south, I'd had to cover Stella, too. She has no undercoat in summer, and in winter very tiny one. She would need coat in the evenings. In winter I cover her with blanket in her bed, she sure loves it

May be for the most outer part. For cleaning inside there are special drops at vet's, you drop then into the ear canal and massage properly. Vet or nurse should show how to massage. Then wipe.
