  1. I would love a demo on training in drive, particularly examples of basic commands down, heel etc. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. :p
  2. Hugs to you Peibe. ;) RIP sweet girls
  3. K9's coming to the coast (hopefully) Yes please!!!! ;)
  4. When I first got her last week her poos were loose, after a couple of days they are now back to normal. Thankfully she is starting to eat more readily.
  5. She ate almost all of her dinner tonight Nutrience puppy, chicken necks, nutrigel and Whiskas mixed in. This is the beautiful Buffy.
  6. She came from a home where her owner became an invalid within the last 12 months. Her eating problem is long standing, But I dont know if it was present prior to her owners problem. She is definately alot more settled now. She was extremely upset by my leaving her at home, but has gotten the idea now that I will come back. She is not a large girl, but at 22kg way underweight. Her hair has a nice shiny glow to it though, so she has at least a reasonable level of health behind her.
  7. Springers are available through this website: www.topdogs.com.au (I have no idea how to do a link) I have one on order as they are expecting new stock in over the next couple of weeks
  8. I have only had her for one week so she is naturally still settling in. She is a bit of a stress head, and will only eat at all when you are right beside her. I had success with the Whiskas last night :D Had to start of feeding by hand though EEEWWWWW I will get her used to eating more, and then slowly change to a more healthy diet.
  9. Thankyou Oliver and others for your helpful replies. no luck with the sardines. I have ended up just sticking a few big globs of nutrigel in her mouth just to get some calories and vitamins into her. I'm off to the shops for catfood and BBQ chook. :D
  10. Just to add: Yes she has been vet checked, wormed and is offered food 3 times a day.
  11. I have a new gsd foster that I am pulling my hair out with to try and get her to eat properly. I got her knowing she doesnt eat much but this is ridiculous. She will eat a little chicken but only max one drumstick or a couple of necks. I am going to try BBQ chook today. not interested in dry food, i've tried several good brands. wont touch satin balls (peanut butter, meat, creamcheese, egg etc.) doesnt even like nutrigel. she is intolerant of red meats. any more suggestions? She is losing weight she cannot afford to lose. :D
  12. Well 5 days ago I was warning everyone about ticks.......... Today one of my fosters is at the vets with yes you guessed it tick poisoning. I am very aware of ticks in my area and check religiously, Frontline and looking for the signs. For the last couple of days Jack my wonderful foster has been a little off colour. I have been keeping an eye on him and checking him over at least twice a day. Today he took a sharp turn for the worse and was unsteady on his feet. Straight to the vet we went - Tick poisoning confirmed, even the vet couldnt find the bugger. So again get checking, take precautions, and with all of that still keep an eye out for the symptoms. Jack should be back home tomorrow.
  13. There is a type of muzzle called a Husher, it allows the dog more movement to drink and pant but restricts its bark. Worth a try.
  14. I was at the vets this afternoon and they had 9 tick cases in just today only. So get checking...............
  15. Try tacking some doublesided sticky tape to the tops of the poles. The cat will hate the stickiness, and it is easy to remove.
  16. I was at the pet expo in penrith today. Mars has a stand with their grooming products. Prices look the same as on their website - saves postage costs. They will be there again tomorrow. robyn
