  1. HI, Dogs at 1 year are still like silly pups sometimes , all you can do is put every item up high, like you would if a baby was crawling on the floor.

My little dog is 1 year also, & silly sometimes, but is getting easier & calmer each month.

One thing she will always find is the toilet paper roll, loves it, she runs all over the house with toilet paper flying behind her, very funny, so i must put the toilet roll up .

Eating chocolate is very dangerous for dogs, you will have to keep it in the kitchen.

  2. I have a dining room chair i put near the bed, Pandi jumps up on the chair to the bed, it cuts the height she jumps by half.

She mostly uses the chair  for going off the bed , sometimes she will fly of the bed if excited over something seen.

  3. When she eats  Ziwipeak  or  Frontier pet ,  i have noticed her stool is very small & thin,  that is when she starts scooting again.

Why do dogs get this bottom  issue.

Pandi does love these foods &  the food is said to be fed as a complete meal,  but it causes issues every time.

  4. I would like to feed top quality foods like Ziwipeak, &  Frontier pet, plus raw meat sometimes.

Everytime i feed these foods, even for only 24 hours, Pandi starts bottom scooting on the floor.

The vet has shown me how to empty her anal sacs, so i have to everytime she eats this type of food, she needs it done at least once a week if i feed Frontier pet or Ziwipeak.

Stay Loyal, or  MFM   on the other hand cause no problem with scooting,

Why would feeding these good quality foods cause this issue

  5. I'm so sorry for you having to deal with this , it would be nice if our animals all got along together.

Claudia is just not feeling well & can't  control herself  at these  times, it's an awful  situation  for you & your family.

I hope it is resolved soon,  for your  peace  of mind.

I hope the vet can help,  sending  good  wishes too you :kissbetter:

  6. Hi all  i just found a great online shop   PETHOUSE  DIRECT  there is no shipping  fee &  no minimum  spend & their prices are very good

I bought  blackdog  shark cartilage  &  Curly dog shampoo.  :)

What other good online stores don't  i know  about  YET!

  7. Good on you  @SmokeyR67  i think that sounds wonderful,  you will have so much fun with  2 pups  watching them play .

Have you a breeder  in mind  at the moment, when will you bring the pups home.

I wish you lots of fun times ahead , keep us posted  when the pups come.

  8. I have been watching youtube videos  of  Dr Sophia Yin  suggested  by   @mowgliandme

it has helped me understand  fear in dogs & how to change their frame of mind , not keep going if the dog is worried but stop & rub her nose or ears gently, to calm her behavior & change her thinking to a happy place.

I now groom pandi  with no problems calmly , & can even  put  Bows  & Clips  in her hair , I'm so pleased with this result. :)

Sophia Yin has some great work that highlights counter conditioning and desensitisation :) I've used these techniques with a variety of (previously growling and biting) dogs to get them used to used to grooming or seeing other dogs~

I think we will drop into the new vet a few times and see how we go! ~:)

It was probably just a once off in hindsight as she has never acted like that anywhere and normally is pretty fearless/gungho

Thanks  so much for posting  this article  mowgli,  I've  found it very helpful in calming  pandi down at grooming time.

  10. Little pandi  had some hard yellow  tartar  on the  last 2 teeth , back of mouth , top jaw, even eating chicken wings twice a week , still there.

Then i gave her a kangaroo  Tendon, she chewed on it for  over 2 hours  ate most of it , when i checked her back teeth the hard  tartar is 90%gone  , i am quite pleased with this result.

Next i will try the Veal Tendon for her , i only just found out  about  these  things being so good for dogs  teeth.

  11. I have got 5 different crates , buying for pandi was very exciting

I was thinking to let them share after the new pup is not needing to toilet at night , and a good sleeper. I will wait and see how much they like each other first.

I close the door on pandi's  crate  or she would be on my bed in a minute     i move around a lot & don't  think it would be safe, she could go flying off the bed in the middle of the night .

sorry to say some breeders are just rude, and yes I am a breeder. What breed, DOLers may be able to help with a recommendation.

  13. With 2 dogs would it be a comfort  to share the same crate at night , for warmth as well, or don't dogs like doing that.

I put pandi  in her soft crate at night  door closed, next to my bed, she sleeps all night & loves it in her bed.

I was thinking with my new pup when it sleeps thru the night ,i would let them both share a bigger crate so they could cuddle together.

    Thanks for any replys

  14. We have  Virus protection for the computer so that was good, now i know never click on or call these ( panic pop-ups)  :banghead:
