Using Human Antihistamines For 6 Month Staffy
Erny replied to 2staffys's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Not to mention how quick we are to pump our dogs full of chemicals week in week out, and over generations . -
Thanks Cosmolo. Do you mean you have 2 regular walkers (ie other people) or do you mean you go there yourself already for 2 other dogs that you walk?
-
Thanks guys. I'll be in touch when I hear back further.

It wouldn't have been that long ago that I would have been whole heartedly and unequivocally "hear hearing" you Westiemum, three cheers, dead right and all of that. I do definitely agree that a whole raw natural diet is the way to go as much as possible. But I must now say that having tried just about everything and having nothing work, I'm glad there is something I can fall back to. At least for the time being. Even if it is a commercial (albeit a science veterinary prescription) line.

Diggers Rest Rock . lol I knew before you. Nahhahnahnahna

I'm wanting to know of any dog walkers who can be recommended as being reliable, responsible and knowledgeable to potentially take a job (on-going by the sounds of it) down at Mount Eliza. I'm not sure that I will be able to service this person economically speaking due to distance involved so thought I'd ask here for recommendations and experience accounts. Cheers Erny

My highlight and amendment "Testing" would imply the intent to change, alter, improve if found not to work. Down here when their laws don't work (in spite of the fact we 'normal' people seem to be psychic in that respect) they try to cover them over with more band bad aid laws on top of more band bad aid laws. The Animal Acts need an enema.

I'd be inclined to give it a bath in Calendula Tea perhaps once a day/night (or in between times, if I thought necessary), just to help clear any germs away after a day of being out and about. It has anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities. Either that or paint it with Betadine. Personally, I generally prefer the Calendula Tea.

Hey Steve and Troy. It is working. I was just being a clutz, it seems. And we need to add Alpha Bet to the list (in case you miss her because of my post here). And I presume we're waiting for you, Steve, to start us off? I'm not sure where or how to start.

Mandela's on the 6 week Hills Science Z/D trial at the moment, so I won't deviate away from that or this past 2 weeks will prove a waste of time. But I very much will keep in mind the sweet potato tip for afterwards.

How Do You Cope, When You Know Your Dog Is Dying
Erny replied to newfsie's topic in General Dog Discussion
You don't. You adore this dog and watch him live. And cherish every moment he gives you and makes you laugh and smile; every naval contemplating moment he shares with you. And you take a leaf from his book - the one that says "live for the moment" and which teaches you not to dwell in the past or dread the future. -
Who said they don't have anything in common? IMO there is nothing wrong with comparing provided it is acknowledged that there can be and is often variations in the "wild -vs- domestic" comparison. The good thing too about using dogs in the wild as examples/analogies, is that it puts the dogs in the people's minds in the absence of human influence and/or anthropomorphic suggestion. People can often better understand about "dogs being dogs" when they can remove that human element and that is sometimes or even often a good thing.

Did the pup try to lean to the end of the table, anyway? All I could see that seemed to be the catalyst to the Judge reacting was the pup not standing as square as the Judge would have liked.
-
Not working?
-
That's what struck me as well - it looked like how one might ring a chook's neck. I'd pay to see that.

Not sure what you require and whether I can deliver, but is it ok for me to sign up and go from there?
-
That's a good tip .

Good stuff .

Karen Pryor Academy In Australia
Erny replied to corvus's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Hey why not?!!! Have you not ever seen him scaling an A-Frame on full height? lol -
If the kennel period you need doesn't extend into Christmas, you might want to check out All Breeds Boarding Kennels & Cattery . Not in East Gippsland but on the way to Melbourne for a drop off?

I read it that you will not be permitted to graduate unless you sign up to KP's ideals. -
Lol .... guarding your shoes? Oh Staranais - NZ is so beautiful (although that's not to say Australian Landscape can't compare). And I envy you this bush walking trek you are going on. Wish I could be there and come with you with my boy. You might not though, .

I honestly can't remember. Isn't that terrible ;) I've just been trying to absorb a lot of Ifs and or buts Over or under active thyroid glands is one thing that can be the cause of ischemic stroke (which is a sudden stop of blood flow feed to the brain).
