  2. Phwoah yeah! Bring on the barking dog!! Edited for spelling this time
  3. Michael is more than welcome to stay over on the 2nd, so long as you bring a crate because I've only got 2. Kovu and Daegon don't mind sharing but I don't like the chances of sticking Michael in with the cats and finding everyone in one piece in the morning Edited for shocking grammar
  4. Oh god, one lot at a time! Can you imagine this place with 3 dogs, 5 cats and 2 kids running around...I thrive on chaos, but that is suicide
  5. Feel free to dump him on my doorstep, Salem will have him under effective control in no time, even Daegon knows it's time to back off when the claws hit the muzzle
  6. Oh I'm sorry, but that just cracks me up! Barking dogs suck, I cannot stand the neighbourhood barking dogs and I have been known, on a VERY bad day, to kick the fence and growl at the little bastards to scare them into shutting up because I cannot stand their barking anymore! It is constant, and I mean constant. I really don't understand how they even have a voice left to bark with anymore. I have had problems with Kovu barking in the past, because he also got sick of the yappy things over the back and gets shitty with them at the fence and barks back at them. The only thing that worked for him was staying outside with him for quite some time during the day and seriously growling at him everytime he went near that area of the fence. Kovu's problem solved. It took a loooong time and my throat hurt a lot...but now I only have to raise my tone at the end of Kovu's name to make him come away from that end of the fence. He still wants to go off at them, but I go off bigger and louder than he does If you've tried everything and nothing has shown any sign of working then strangl...uh, debark him...better to be an alive debarked dog than a dead dog
  7. He's sending it telepathic messages..."please find your way to my neck, I really wanna go for a damn walk"
  8. Oh yes, my dog is so terribly depressed at being walked in a prong collar that he hollers the house down with his whinging and jumps around like an idiot at the site of the darn thing. I would bloody hate to see him happy. Edited for spellink

    Puppy Pee

Yes, make sure that she's calm and not jumping around all over the place like a loony before others give her attention. If your visitors pat her or talk to her while she's misbehaving like that she'll just learn it's the right thing to do to get attention.
  10. I have no words, I have never been through this myself. I am so sorry, I only have hugs to offer
  11. Bad Caff :D Don't eat the food, eat something of your own first, or run your finger through Chelsea's food while having her sit there and watch you :D
  12. What breed of dog is this? Please don't leave your dog with dry kibble...always feed it soaked. This is particularly important with deep chested breeds, but I would be soaking it no matter what breed. I'm glad that he's eating again and you can bring him home, what a relief for you...it's awful when they're sick.
  13. Some things you can do to establish pack order: - Never let her go through small spaces/doorways before you...make her sit and wait for you to go through first, if she goes to push through shut the door in her face. It might knock her on the nose, don't worry...she'll learn fast :D - Anytime you go to give her anything (food, pats, treats, toys etc.) make her do something for you, like sit. Don't give her anything until she does what you tell her - Make sure you're TELLING her to do things...don't ask. Give your commands in a firm tone, if she doesn't comply after the first command make her do it, don't ask again. So if you've told her to sit and she doesn't, place her in the sit position while saying sit - Don't let her on the couch/chair/bed while you're having pack order issues. Allowing a dog on these places can say to them that they're equal to you in the pack...don't allow this when she's trying to have it over you - When you're telling her 'no' make it a growly voice, like a dog growls. If she's being bossy you need to be more bossy back, get stern with her. She wont dislike you for it, she will respect you It's great that you're trying to get ontop of these problems now while she's so young, hopefully puppy school will help you out as well. Good luck :D Edited for spelling
  14. I'm so sorry for your loss
  15. Rotts steal a piece of your heart forever. Thinking of you jesomil
  16. Oh, I'm so sorry griff RIP Bronson II :D
  17. Puppy shouldn't be going for walks anyways...no longer than say 10 minutes
  18. Oh wow, that is SO cute! Please can you video that so we can see?!
  19. Thanks for the update, I hope the tests come back all good
  20. yes green tea is supposed to speed up the metabolism...would be nice if it worked It better not make you feel sick now or it'll be all my fault
  21. Oh bugger. I have a green tea one at the moment, it's a much lighter smell than the vanilla. I must look pretty silly standing in the aisle scratching and sniffing all the boxes
  22. I use those plug-in things, you can change how strong the perfume smell is by turning the dial up or down...so if you kept it down fairly low it should still freshen the place without making you feel unwell
  23. Perhaps she's just not thirsty. Dogs also stick their tongues out, or pant, when they are hot...it's how they cool down. If you're concerned about things perhaps you should ask the breeder...it sounds like you haven't had a dog before and they would be the best people to help you
  24. Just wanting to clarify this. Do you mean the pups lower jaw is in front of the upper one or the upper jaw is in front of the lower one? The lower jaw is shorter than the upper jaw. So you mean the top teeth are over the bottom ones? That's not undershot then, that's overshot. Puppies mouths move around a lot, and as the lower jaw is the last bone to finish growing it could move up a bit to bring the bite to scissor. What breed is this?
