  1. http://www.worldforpets.com.au/products/pr...ail.asp?ID=2816 something like this?
  2. I have the one Blackdog sell and it works well http://www.blackdog.net.au/index.php
  3. Before I brought a hydrobath I had an attachment I'd brought form the hardware place that attches to a flick mixer spout and than you can attach your garden hose to it and I had a soft spray nozzle on the other end.Much easier than carrying water
  4. maybe some fragrance in the Avon One was the culprit.I guess if you buy some Alpha Keri oil to try at least you can use it on yourself as well
  5. I have rcently purchased one of these Bum Bags for $12.95 plus delivery as I was looking for exactly the same thing you mention http://www.oo.com.au/Aspen_Bum_Bag_with_Re...c-_-feed-_-null It can be a normal bum bag but also has a detachable strap for carrying like a shoulder bag as well.I have a Snooza bag and also a Houndbag but this is more compact and still holds everything needed
  6. found this little bit of info so looks like it is really raw fish that can cause the deficiancy Raw fish contains an enzyme that breaks down Vitamin B2, so feeding too much raw fish to your dog, can result in a vitamin deficiency. The simple and safe way to feed fish to your dog, is to cook it first, as the cooking process deactivates this enzyme and also reduces the risk of any parasitic infections being passed onto your pet from the raw fish.
  7. I sometimes buy the larger tins of tuna and divide up between the 2 shepherds over 2-3 nights so just wonder how much fish equals a 'feed"
  8. well at least he will smell nice if it dosen't happen to work anyway as that Avon one smells lovely My girl seems to be quite peaceful this afternoon after her bath earlier although I did give her an antihistimane tablet as well Let us know how you find the Avon one with the itchies
  9. One of my gsd's has become itchy recently so today I bathed her in Malaseb ad than gave her a rinse in Alpha Keri Oil as I have read it's quiet good for itchy dogs(apparently the Avon Skin So Soft is suitable as well) I had previously not been able to find the cause of her scratching but when I was blow drying her I discovered she has an area on her back towards her tail that is red and blotchy where she scratches.I have also given her an antihistimane as well Anyone else used the Oil before and had any results?i'd actually had it sitiing in the bathroom cupboard from when the kids used to get excema and when I saw it I remembered reading about using it for rinsing itchy dogs in so deceided I had nothing to loose
  10. Not much use on the S90 but I just upgraded my Cannon IXUS to the Cannon Powershot SX200 IS(RRP $649)that I picked up for $513 at Domayne by getting them to match a price I'd found and am very happy with it. Much the same reasoning that you have, wanted a better camera but was not ready for an SLR or the bulkiness of them Good luck with your choice.
  11. thanks, will go look back through the pages and see the comments I'm back, can't seem to find it.If you happen to stumble across it do you mind posting a link please
  12. Was sent a new pet magazine today and saw a product called Shoo Tag.It's supposed to repell fleas, ticks, flies and mosquitos Anyone tried it?Not sure if it's supposed to repel paralasis ticks though http://www.shootag.com.au/default.aspx?page=1&name=Home
  13. For some reason one of my gsd's is stinking after her last bath really quickly. She is normally a dog who gets that doggy odour a lot more quicker than my other gsd but this time it was pratically the next day and it's horrid I have deceided to bath her tomorrow with some malaseb just incase she has a yeast infection flairing up although I don't it is(no scratching etc) and was just thinking I had read previously about rinsing with vinegar after a bath to reduce smell and just wondered what amount I would use in a hydrobath and if you just leave on or rinse off? Or what about adding Baking soda? How would you do that, add to shampoo or as a rinse
  14. Thanks for the replies. I gave the one I believe to have eaten it a little tinned dog food so hopefully that will soften things up a little and help pass it.Will keep an eye out
  15. OH cooked the meat on the BBQ and stupidly left the meat tray out there and he just discovered it ripped up and no sign of the obsorbent part that the meat actually sits on in the tray plus a fair part of the plastic over packaging Just wondered if there's anything I can do?Not 100% sure if it was just one of the dogs or all 3 had a go.Should I feed them tonight?
  16. When I was looking at their hydrobaths a few years back I emailed and asked if they had more pictures and they happily sent them so may be worth emailing them and asking if they could email you more pictures of what you're looking at
  17. I also brought a roll of Tuckertime after reading this thread. It is expensive though although a lot more concentrated than general supermarket rolls and does not feel as fatty I like to add some slices to my dogs dry food so I can pop their fish oil etc supplements in
  18. I've just started using liquid Chlorophyll for one of my dogs that has stinky breath and generally gets a doggy odour much quicker than my other gsd.It apparently is also good for making there poo's smell less If you google it for dogs it has great reviews
  19. for a shampoo with oatmeal I love Petway Supergroom Herbal Concentrate with oatmeal
  20. I don't believe Bestcare is actually a brand anyway, thought it was a company that maunfacturers pet products? I have used a pet food previously that was manufactured the same way(not the same product thought I don't think ,It was called Be-natural) in a plain white plastic bag and has a label stuck on it with ingredients, feeding guide etc. It was also marketed for the Japanese market and I never thought it was anything but legit, just a way to cut down pricing on fancy packaging.Obviously the overseas market are not as concerned as we are with pretty colours on packets Sounds like these products are marketed for the overseas market so it's a shame that they are not beter known in there own country of manufacturing
