Cue to a thread being anti-rescue derailed again. Can we get back to the OP's question.
-
5 years old is a great age IMHO. Health worries wouldn't come from her being a breeding dog, what you want is a sound healthy girl (patellas, heart, eyes etc) and I'd simply ask if your vet can view her records just in case she has pre-existing conditions you can't insure for. And while it's controversial here apparently, desex her - when she's settled. At 5 & being rehomed, she's ready to retire. And you don't need pyometra or mammary tumours.

Hi all! We're drawing our 5 prizes late on the 31st After last month's whopper bills of almost 6k and no end in sight ( such is rescue) we really need help. I'm trying to spread the word so people don't miss out over a spare $5. These items are made by my Aunty Jayne who donated them to us. I own some of her work and it's amazing, unique, really special and warm! website: https://www.seniorsandsilkies.org.au/fundraisers.html @Troy delete if you need to. This is non-commercial obviously. FIRST PRIZE - The Shetland Shawl Designed by Marja de Haan, this luxurious shawl features motifs representing Shetland Island's striking landscape and wildlife. The beautiful sky-blue border is offset by warm, earthy tones. With it's folk-art feel, the Shetland Shawl is as cosy and quaint as it gets. SECOND PRIZE - The Autumn Shawl - Peruvian Wool Hand made from a lightweight blend of Peruvian baby Llama wool and plant fibres. This beautiful shawl is suitable for all seasons. The neutral, earthy tones make this a stylish and beautiful accessory.

Best Value Canine Tooth Extraction Brisbane southside?
_PL_ replied to Wolverina's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
If it's a healthy tooth (eg that snapped or has a cavity) still well rooted into the jaw it takes a lot more time and work to get it out without it breaking off deep in the bone. Serious work. Get a couple of quotes but it won't be as cheap as a normal dental. If it's a wiggly old one, I do think $2k is incredible! -
As above, the breeder offered you a return. She's under no obligation to pay your bills or refund you your purchase price. Sorry. I just lost my dear little rescue dog to a similar thing at nearly 4yrs. You just have to be at peace with nature. Give her the best life possible. And next time, research your breeder.

She's very pretty

It's a seller's market at the moment.

Very difficult to get dogs/puppies ASAP at the moment. Having people home due to covid, everyone decided to go get a dog. You might just have to be patient.

People manage to survive without fb lol Fully understand about welling up with tears when you can feel every bone in their body. I think you're right about food being the way to his heart to start with. And lots of time, and some breed specific guidance. -

Oh dear. They won't be of any help at all by the sound of it. Have a Google for Companions For Life which is Andrea at Maremma Rescue. She's awesome with the breed. And there's a couple of FB groups that are Maremma specific too. The idea of contacting a breeder is a good one, they may be able to help also. -

When you say adopted - via rescue/shelter? If so you need to contact them asap. They need to know you are struggling. -
What a wonderful life for a gorgeous big sheepie. Run free handsome Bruce

Frenchie needing rehome - Brisbane

I think the frenchie rescue is called Squishy Faced something? There's Mini's Bulldog Rescue too? -
Prime 100 have a chart which ticks the box on a couple of rolls suited for pups. https://prime100.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/Prime100-SPD-Product-Table-v6.pdf Not sure what else to add if you stick with roo. Did the vet say rice or pasta is suitable? edited to add, Quinoa has calories, that might be another option.

!! You don't use ice on a burn. It can make the skin damage worse.
-
You need to go to the vet. If they are doing the covid social distancing thing you'll just need to be ok to hand your dog to them for his own good. I'm not going to give you any guesses to google (none of us are vets), home remedies for self diagnosis is too risky and can backfire.

I got a couple of cheap ones off ebay ('Calming Beds') to try them out and OMG they are so soft. I will need to use laundry bag thingies to wash them in as the thin black base isn't trustworthy which isn't a surprise. 13yr old Ladybird and her new favourite bed ... -
Yes thank goodness for Nexgard Spectra, no more frightening courses of ivermectin. Having taken it twice now, I'm sure you'd have seen some kind of improvement if it was demodex. Fingers crossed for an answer soon
-
A skin scrape for the chance of demodex would be a good idea too although your vet will probably do that to rule it out. Demodectic mange (not contagious) flares up and down from pink to bright red, can weep at times. The smell is usually secondary yeast and/or bacteria. There's usually a visible rash of little pink dots. As it progresses you get the hair loss, skin thickening and crustiness. But then again, allergies can look exactly like that too! I hope your very cute little pup gets some answers soon.
