Poll: Have You Ever Used The Report Button
Rozzie replied to sandgrubber's topic in General Dog Discussion
Yep for threads that had begun to degenerate into obscenity. -
Brooke, many years ago I had two GSDs. They were great companions for each other when we were at work. When the bitch passed the dog 'changed'. He was never 'into' people except for OH and I, he had just tended to ignore everyone else. However, he started taking an unhealthy interest in people after his doggy pal passed. He would grab clothing, he grabbed my MIL's arm (not hard but still). He showed a disturbing interest in children. We were able to manage him because he was so obedient but it was stressful. Our daughter was expecting her first child and we really had to think about the whole situation. Of course, no-one wanted a dog who had these sort of problems and who was so large. As a last resort we contacted out then ACO. He was brilliant and knew of the perfect home for the dog. Single man on a large property, virtually no visitors. Dog was rehomed happily there. I would have PTS if we hadn't been fortunate enough to find this bloke.

Bit of both I guess Bub. I've had Kelpies and ACDs so it wasn't the 'working breed thng'.

I had a head on with a Border Collie. Bought from a breeder (who wouldn't take him back). Turned me off BCs forever.

Thanks for the translation! LOL

What's FMIL? Nice pics... love the one of the man holding the flowers!

You got that right. Why would you suggest something illegal to rectify a problem?

Sorry. He's a Belgian Terv. Shell... I'm not talking three burrs over whole dog... our paddocks have some hideous damn things in them. It's easy enough with the Shitty to cut them out but don't really want to do same with Mandrake.
-
Please grooming ghurus... need help. Oh and there are lots of burrs at this time of year too.

Please ignore the peanut gallery.

I find the square ones difficult to 'see'. Now I feel myself looking at everything wondering where it should be cropped. And I mean everything. lol.

Just hope the electricity supply guys don't have to ask locals where your place is...

No Moops, she's not really tall. She has been to ballet just this year. I think it's because she likes the outfit. She spends all her time dressed as a fairy. She's gorgeous.

This is my 4 year old granddaughter Bella at ballet this morning. Daughter sent me the pic and I thought it was gorgeous.

Advice Needed In Choosing Which Breed
Rozzie replied to garden_girl's topic in General Dog Discussion
I have pics of my Terriers with the chooks all happily eating the scraps, 2 MFTs and a JRT. None of the three dogs were here since pups. One is a city dog, one was abused and the third, no idea on his story. Our runner ducks are free range and wander around with the dogs. Terriers do not mean instant death to poultry. -
Forever Fields is cemeteryish too.

Our place is called Shannon's Run, after my first GSD. She would have loved it here. Around here we have a Peacefields (bit cemeteryish?) and a Serenda which appeals to me.
