  1. I think someone is pulling someone's leg in regards to this alledged mix. I would be more inclined to say it's a daschund/chi. There isnt a single Bullmastiff Characteristic in that dog anywhere.
  2. You can contact K9 Soft Crates and they supply replacement skins for their crates. www.k9softcrates.com.au
  3. I just wrote to him and stated I was a registered breeder and owner and would appreciate if he would advertise his litter correctly because if something goes wrong its the bullmastiff that gets the blame not his mastiff crosses.
  4. He responded... seems the dam is a Mastiff "not pure" but the father has a black mask so that makes him a "bullmastiff". LOL He has removed the word purebred from the ad but I did email him back and ask that he advertise the puppies as a Mastiff cross bred (I hate putting a breed to it but they arent bullmastiffs) as that is what they are. Not sure if he has done it or not.
  5. Lets see what sort of a response I get from this idiot. I also reported the ad as being fraudulant as well.
  6. Congratulations. Do yourself a favour and get the vet to show you how to tube feed so you can get some rest in between feeds.
  7. Unfortunately Pitbull owners are actively being advised to register their dog as another bull breed ie bullmastiff. amstaff etc in order to escape the legislation requirements. This is a real touchy point with me so I wont go into it - it just really annoys me that people are so selfish that they are willing to put another breed's head on the chopping block just so they dont have to follow legislation requirements.
  8. Got to love some of these BYB's. Unfortunately they are the ones who damage the good name of such a lovely breed.
  9. Congrats Kaffy - looks like boys seem to be the trend at the moment
  10. Most people that I know have had their pups develop severe reactions to the Troy suspension so severe that pups have died. I am looking more towards Cannex at the moment but am waiting to speak to my vet as well.
  11. Thanks everyone for your responses. I have an appointment with the vet on thursday so I will go over it with him and go from there.
  12. Hi all, As this is my first litter - I thought I might get a few opinions on worming suspensions. I have heard mixed reviews on many different brands ie Cannex, Troy and Drontel. I have even recently heard people have used Combatrin as it is supposedly has the same ingredients as the above names suspensions. Any suggestions or advise on this topic would be much appreciated.
  13. I voted yes. Mainly because the pups I currently have will be sterilised prior to being placed in their new homes. Note I said sterilised - not desexed. The boys will be having a vasectomy and the girls will be having tubal ligation. This maintains the pups hormone levels through those first 12 months of development. At 12 months of age I suggest that the owners then have them fully desexed. I dont want any of my limit registered pups contributing to the cross breeding or backyard breeding world and I dont want my large breed to suffer from any developmental issues due to lack of hormones and sterilisation is the best option. To be honest I'm surprised more breeders dont do it.
  14. Why do I have a feeling your girls will go the opposite to what I have. LOL I hope you do get a couple good boys to choose from.
  15. Rumour had 9 pups today. 7 boys and 2 girls. Photos will be posted a bit later. Mum and bubs doing well.
  16. Congratulations Baileys Mum. They all look beautiful. Get some sleep while you can.
  17. Rumour had her Xray today. Vet saw a minimum of 10 pups. So next week either thursday or Friday Xanguard's foundation litter will be on the ground!!! I'm starting to get really nervous now.
  18. He might be cold. My boy only starts sleeping on the sofa when the temperature starts to go below 14 degrees. Once Spring comes back around and it starts warming up he's off the sofa.
  19. That sounds like it sorts the wannabes out very quickly. It appears to have done the trick for now but this is my first litter so who knows what I will get over the years to come.
  20. I have to say that since I put on my website that all pet (limit registered) dogs will be sterilised prior to leaving my home the number of non show "I want a pet to breed with" requests have dropped substantially.
  21. Rumour is just on 6 weeks today - she was 5 and 4 days when I took those photos.
  22. Time for some Belly shots. I swear Rumour doubles in size overnight.
  23. I was told on Sunday that Rumour was looking quite "matronly" by the judge. She wasnt looking all that big on Friday but by Sunday she's had doubled in size.
  24. Freaking out doesnt ever describe how I was reacting.
  25. Vet thought she had Pyometra because of the discharge and fluid in her uterus so advised we have her desexed. On second opinion by another vet it was advised it was nothing more than a case of vaginitis. Thank god for the second vet or that would have been 10+ puppies lost.
