  1. Errrrrrr, 10% protein, as far as I am aware my dog food is 24%. I add raw food to that.
  2. I saw some of the cans on the supermarket shelf yesterday and read the analysis, I suggest you do to. I just smiled and put it BACK.
  3. I would say the dog has had a few hot spots. This is how they grow out.
  4. The address I gave is of the original importers and breeders.
  5. Crikey two Eurasier enquiries in one day. Try this for Eurasier information. The first importers into the country. Plush Puppy Australia: Plush Pet: 2/23 Luke Street, Hemmant QLD 4174 Tel: +61 (7) 3010 8800 Fax: +61 (7) 3010 8899 E-mail: [email protected]
  6. Here's where you contact for eurasier information Plush Puppy Australia: Plush Pet: 2/23 Luke Street, Hemmant QLD 4174 Tel: +61 (7) 3010 8800 Fax: +61 (7) 3010 8899 E-mail: [email protected]
  7. Sorry didn't finish the above, it just disappeared. Paratak plus is the product. Could Paraguard be an off shoot of this product. Paratak is manufactured by Bomac. I have found this product to be excellent.
  8. I us Paratek and find them excellent. They are basically the same as another well know brand of wormer and at half the price.
  9. Actually, I think it should be a two way street. I find your attitude to it understandable, but very wrong. Hang on a minute, what's wrong with me saying I decide who my pups go to. I am sick of and tired of people laying the law down to me. Like.......... I will require this and I will require that. I will expect copies of................ I did say cross questioned, of course people will ask reasonable questions and ethical breeders answer them. I always invite people to come to my home where possible and inspect the pups and see where they are raised and the other dogs that are raised along side them and ask relevant questions about the breed. I am so sick and tired of breeder bashing. I am also sick and tired of people telling ME what I should do as a breeder. As I have said my Ethics are above reproach. I personally believe that we have prospective owners coming onto lists and gaining a little knowledge and using it in all the wrong ways. When you try to tell them it does not apply to this breed they tell you they know because they have been told to ask for all relevant paper work. ??????????????. Sorry not this breed. Now does that make it clearer what I am talking about. Yep know what you mean. Had a puppy enquiry and they wouldn't buy a whippet pup unless I could supply hip scores for both parents and their grandparents. I almost spit coffee out my nose but didn't. Yes a breeders life is not an easy one. I am not nasty to prospective purchases, good heavens we sell to these people. But I am sick and tired of people telling me what I have to do. Yes, been down the hip score road . What people don't understand is that there are top rate breeders out there and and they are there for the breed and the breed alone. Thank you whippets for your understanding.
  10. Good on for sticking to your researching. You may be able do a lot more with the aid of this vet.
  11. I am going to ignore that reply. I would suggest that you google Hemolife.
  12. I think there are far more important matters here than the workings of an internal fence.
  13. Well I most certainly hope the people putting on this seminar get a better reaction to this seminar than the one by held by Jean Dodds from the veterinary world.
  14. Sorry, but your a braver man than I Gunga Din. I would NEVER suggest breeders terms. I have have heard of to many sad stories to go down that road.
  15. Sheridan with due respect, unless the Court ordered a specific fence, the owner complied with putting up a fence. As I have read it this is not a boundary fence. It is now up to the the owner/s of the dead dog to pursue the matter or the locals file a more formal complain with the council.
  16. I just give mine chicken frames, the meat has been removed. Still plenty of meat left for the dogs. My dogs also get dry food with it.
  17. We all agree with those sentiments but there is no accounting for stupidity. I hope the the owner of the dead dog throws the book at them.
  18. The way i read the post was that they went out for an hr and left the pup at home in its penned area? Think your right. I went back and re read it. My apologies.
  19. This is where the ranger should have come back and forced them to do the job properly, this is partly the rangers fault. Come on that's silly talk. Why blame the Ranger he has no control over private fencing.
  20. I would not be walking a 7 months old pup for and hour.
  21. ok please correct me if i am wrong but i was under the impression that shock collars where illegal in SA for some time now (along with prong collars) there was def a campaign by the RSPCA to make them so. If this is the case the council should not be loaning them to anybody Please don't missunderstand me to mean i don't agree with these methods of training where other options have been tried and failed. Its just that as an owner and a vet nurse that i would be VERY careful about using them without doing my research on this as i know the collars are still widely available and would not want to be charged for " animal cruelty" either Well don't say anything.
  22. Usually caused by a slack owner leaving the collar on for extended periods, not the way to go at all. Or fitted incorrectly. You can discuss this all you like but it comes down to this. Keep the dog quiet or you and the dog MAY suffer consequences. (sorry but that is fact) No matter what method you use there will always be some body out their that disagrees. I gave a suggestion in the anti bark collar (zapper) the next suggestion is to de bark and at your dogs age I would be looking into the matter with a vet and see what sort of guarantees you could get ...re...anesthetic.
  23. I read on an email list recently about someone's dog fitted with an anti-bark zap collar. It was set off by another dog barking not just by the dog it was fitted to. I would take that with a grain of salt. The collars are constructe so that only the dog wearing it can activate it.
  24. In SOME cases they work but not all. It is a matter of finding the correct spot to put them. It can takes weeks of trial and error to get them in the correct spot. If they are battery operated the batteries can run out and are not effective.
