Call your newspaper, and at the same time write a letter to your newspaper. Ask to speak to the news desk, and make it plain you intend thereafter to phone back immediately and speak to the editor. One way or another, you should at least get a letter published - and maybe a "human interest" story about residents fearing dogs are being stolen for dog fighting. Please mssg me if you want any help. People should be warned. It's great stuff for a local paper and they should hop to it. I earned my stripes with such reports as a reporter on a local paper many years ago.

When I go to the vet there are invariably other dogs, cats, guinea pigs et al in the waiting room. If you want no distractions maybe pay extra to have your vet make house calls. Wow, if this is the sort of stuff that gives people the shits - a cat at the vets - you must be richly blessed and have NoThiNg more serious to bitch about. Astonishing.

I can't imagine why anyone would breed any animal when there are so many in need out there.

I would stay with my dog, but it's a hard decision and good luck to you. Under NO circumstances, though, would I put a dog of this or any other age in the pound and trust to luck. That is too cruel.

He seems an approachable bloke. They sound like nice dogs. It seems you've got some communication going. Be cool. What's to be gained from escalating this? Keep talking and be cool. It's soooooo much better.

Surely there are enough voices on DogzOnline to mount a challenge to the RSPCA. What if people were to join up and run for office???
