You all seem to be having so much fun together. I need more people in Vic here!!

Lola did very well yesterday, although it was very warm and she wasn't overly impressed with having to hang around for Jnr in Group.

She did however come away with some more points and RUBoB/Bitch Challenge/Jnr of Breed

Yay

I know...I feel sort of bad cause us newie newbies seem to dominate the thread  We really are all very lucky it's a great group of people and dogs!

maybe you need to start recruiting people LOTG!

Yup I agree we need to start recruiting for victora LOL It is such an advantage as a newbie as when I walk out of the ring there are friends who enjoy the wins and comiserate the losses - or laugh at my dogs new found way to embarass me  Looking out for each others dogs, times in the ring

Either that OR you have to head this way LOTG as the majority are in ring 1 or at least sit there  Road trip and share our shade at hillsborough we dont get many lowchen here and I would LOVE to meet lola!

Oh and Sammy - we looked at tents today!!

LOL!!! I don't think I can afford to make it up that way for a while... but you never do know ;) We may find an excuse to go for a road trip as long as we can find accommodation with doggies ;) But that won't be for a while yet.. lol.

You're right, I should start recruiting people.... not sure where to start though.. maybe when Lola has babies heheh but that'll be a long way away yet.

Nope, no booking a campsite at Gunnedah. Don't worry though, there is HEAPS of room to set up camp :( As you drive in just pop into the caretakers office and he will direct you to a spot to camp. One tip though, take ear plugs if you intend to sleep - the grounds are right next to a train station and the trains toot as they come into, and out of the station on an hourly basis.

Thanx, do you know if they have powered sites?

We seriously need a generator!LOL

Yep, they sure do have powered sites. You need to get in early for those as they are limited, but since you are getting there on the Thursday you shouldn't have a problem getting one. Advantage of the powered sites is that they are nice and close to the showers/loo's, however are further away from the rings :champagne:

We usually take a generator for the lights/fridge/microwave/heater/laptop and phone chargers - best investment ever for away shows!

Hi all newbies you are all welcome at Gunnedah in April I have only been showing 2 years this April and live in Gunnedah our grounds are looking good and at the moment extra power sights are going in also the main 3 rings will have lights like at Hillsborough, so it will be an exciting 3 days for our 50 year celebrations. so hopfully angelsophie is coming to make up the Havanese numbers :laugh: Brenda

I'd love to go back to Gunnedah but my OH won't let me do any away shows unless it's under a breed specialist. I've only been showing for 3 years, first year with my breeders dogs, last two with my own, and each year we have gone to Gunnedah as it's really a fun show. Great to hear they have lights over the rings now
