New Puppy Coming! Where To Do Shopping?

Hi everyone,

I have a puppy shopping list from Dogstardaily's website. I was just wondering where can i get the cheapest stuff and food supply for my new puppy? I am considering getting a playpen, crate, some toys(chew toys, fluffy toys & Kong), Doggy toilet(with fake grass preferred), Water & Food bowl, collar, leash and Lead. My breeder just gave me a food list so i could purchase them myself: Coprice puppy dry, edible chewies and dried liver. I would prefer not to buy from Pet Paradise knowing that they get puppies from BYBers so any other shops is fine for me.

Thanks in advance.

Nicola

I do all my shopping either at Pet Barn or Deals Direct, I refuse to use any other pet store because I like how Pet Barn doesnt sell live animals (well, except fish and they have the odd hand raised bird) but you will never see a puppy or kitten for sale in a Pet Barn, plus they have a great rewards program especially with their food

Hi Nicola, you might want to change the title of your topic so people don't think you are shopping for a new dog on line.

Good luck with your shopping.

http://www.pricelesspets.com.au/ is the cheapest place I have found to buy my monthly heartworm treatment

:) Already changed the title of the topic. I just went to check on the website and its really cheap. I will just double check with my breeder and see what she recommends to use. I am a first time dog owner!

There is a shop near my girlfriend's house where we can find shop that don't sell animals as well. We will get our stuff from there. Thanks for the suggestion.

I am just wondering does anyone know where can i purchase Coprice puppy dry kibbles? My breeder feeds her dogs using that.

EDIT: Found it!

Hi Nicola,

Some places I used:

Puppy Food: http://k9katzkitchen.com.au/ - I found this to be the cheapest source for the food i chose for my dog (Artemis Fresh Mix).

Collar and Lead: http://www.worldforpets.com.au/ - Great selection and it supports the RSPCA.

Dog ID Tags: http://www.pettagembossing.com.au/ - Probably not for "pretty" dogs, as you can find fancier ones elsewhere, but if you're looking for something that will last a long time then these tags are great!

Toys, snacks, accessories: Mainly from my local store: http://www.bestfriendspets.com.au/ but World for Pets is also a great source.

I hope i was able to be of some assistance. :(

Thanks so much! That was exactly what i was looking for. I will be looking to crate-train my dog. Do you know where can I find good, steady and relatively cheap crates?

For folks living in Melb or visiting Melb, there is a great family owned Pet Stock store in High Street, Northcote called Salce. http://www.salce.com.au/

They sell just about anything for any animal for the same price or most times cheaper price than online stores.

I buy Interceptor Spectrum & Advocate from them cheaper than priceless pets online. Also get Artemis dry and other stuff for our birds at great prices.

A while back we went in and purchased a heap of stuff for the puppy, the lady was so nice she gave us $20 worth of freebies  Now you can't get that kind of service online or from Pets paradise.
