Oriental Dog With Black & Tan Colouration

Of topic, but Ams, what colour is that called? It is gorgeous! Is it a standard colour in the breed?

That is Boku, he is a black and tan horsecoat bone mouth shar pei but it is a disqualifying fault.

Beautiful pei ams

THE NGSD do appear to have a black and tan colour variety but it's very rare and the breed itself is very rare - might be hard to get DNA.

I'll have a think about it

Thanks for the suggestions everyone

The Tang dog is stunning such a proud looking regal dog.

Would love to own a few of them.

Might be worth considering the so-called "Thai Dingo". Also, what's that breed that's meant to be of the same stock as Bali Street Dogs despite being a relatively new breed? Kintamani? I think they come in black and tan... I think BSDs themselves might be a bit too variable, but I think they have a few genetic markers in common with the Dingo that no other breeds have.

I found this on a website talking about Kintamani breed standard:

MAJOR FAULTS :

1. Coat Color not white and if the red orange color not found at ear coat color

I'll check it out though - thanks corvus!

I'm just lucky
