My Poor Baby Bindi

Hi, we took our JRT Bindi for a walk and and when we came home we noticed a bit of grass or grass seed in her eye, tried flushing it with water and wouldn't come out. So off to the vets this morning for them to have a look, eye really swollen so they have to sedate her to have a look and remove foreign body. Poor baby was feeling quite sad for her self trying to get it out to. So I am just waiting for a call to pick her up. I'm feeling for her, but I know that she won't feel it as she is sedated but I guess she is still our fur baby and maybe I am a worry wart.

Just needed to vent.

Update.......

Had a call from the vet saying now her eyeball may rupture when they're removing it and if it does they will have to remove her eye I feel so helpless

Update again......

Bindi has come through with flying colours wasn't grass or grass seed it was some sort of thorn, her eye is ulcerated, stitched closed but open a little to put in drops, antibiotics and a cone so she doesn't try to pull out stitches. I am so relieved she is ok.

Phew I am one relieved mumma.

Poor Bindi. She'll have forgotten all about it by tomorrow

Poor MrsGrumbleBum...betcha have butterflies in your tummy thinking about her. I know I get that feeling when something is wrong with my boy. I'm sure the vet won't mind if you give them a quick call to check on her progress. I always do :D

Thank you Jadesamara,

Bindi came through with flying colours I am so relived, I couldn't stop blubbering when I was told it was alot worse than first thought & that she may lose her eye, the vet had never removed anything like it before as she usually calls for an eye specialist, but Bindi was already under anaesthetic (spelling). I gave her the go ahead to do it. Vet called a little while ago, all A OK so far, the foreign object was some sort of thorn, she has kept it for us to have a look at.
