Well if no one objects I will post a question to keep us rolling while we wiat for FHRP

NO GOOGLING!! I will know if you have googled :o

What are the four breeds of Belgian Shepherds?

What were three capacities they served in during World War 1?

An what are three capacities they serve in today?

Well the first bit is easy - Groenendael, Tervueren, Malinois and Laekenois.

I'll have another guess at the second bit - messenger dog, guard dog, and maybe mascot (don't think they had bomb dogs then did they? ) - and I remember a photo of one wearing a first aid symbol, not sure what war, but maybe ambulance dog?

and another guess for today - explosives detection, drug detection, guard dog, police dog, herder, customs/border protection, search and rescue, cadaver, companion, show and all around handsome dog,

Breed are right, today's are right. World War 1 is wrong the answer is - messenger dog (you got this one), ambulance dog (upon a 2nd look you also got this one) and machine gun hauler :o

You go Diva while we wait

You go Diva while we wait

You'd better go, I have to dash off again!

edited to add: machine gun hauler would be a pretty bad job, esp for a relatively lightly-built herding breed!

While you wait????

Does that mean my question on page 15 is too hard??

SORRY!!! I forgot it was there.

But yes its too hard for me lol, I have tried to look and the only thing I can see is hairless but I thought that may be too obvious?? Or their ears?

Geez this thread moves fast!

Okay I am entitled to ask - yay! I got the Coolie/Kelpie one right!

Here we go - not sure if google will help you with this - am looking at a plate in old dog book right now. Clue - it is a British book, published 1950.

My question: What is the most distinguishing feature of an Abyssinian Sand Terrier? (picture tomorrow I promise!)

Reduced to quoting myself!

Not hairlessness or ears K&P - both breed traits though, well done!

Come on you don't have to be Einstein...I gave an important clue!
