Family Looking For A New 4 Legged Member

Recommended Posts

If a child is allergic, I wouldn't recommend a dog for the family unless the child is thoroughly tested to find out what she's allergic to, it's really important.

I know of a local family whose child was allergic to some dogs so they adopted a poodle, thinking that the child would be OK as poodles are non shedding. It turned out that the child was allergic to dogs full stop so they had to get rid of the poodle, very sad all round but tests before getting a dog would have saved everyone (including the poodle) the emotional pain they all went through.

Dogmad I tend to agree with you as it could potentially be a no win for anyone.

Lolas Foster Carer has kindly offered the family to go back once the hives are down to try a poodle and see what happens.

More difficult than initially thought sorry

Well, I think we may have a "happy ever after" to this story... *grin*

One happy family went home today with a puppy that ticked all the boxes for all members.

Falgall/Karen, your brother and his family are lovely people, and we are so glad that we could assist them in their search for their 4-legged new family member.

T.
