My Female Puppy

Recommended Posts

If anyone was to know the answer to your question, it would be your vet, afterall they must study dog anatomy before they get their BVSc.

I am going to speak my mind here, I really do think you think you need to relax with your puppy, otherwise you are going to turn her into a nuerotic mess, temperament problems, before long

Your puppy is a very normal looking female puppy from the outside, I do not have ultrasonic vision so can not comment on the inside.

She is one of the sweetest looking puppies I have see no DOL, you are very luck to have her.

Yes your pup is a female. The "weird penis looking stumpy thing" is her genitalia sometimes referred to as 'bits' or 'girly bits'. If you see other female dog 'bits' they will be much the same...though some seem to have more of an inny or an outy like belly buttons as from what i have seen. (pls note...i don't go around perving on dogs 'bits' :) )

Also the 'bits' get really spongy, big and noticible when the dog goes into season...they shrink again once they have finished their season but don't seem to shrink back to pre-puberty size...but if you get her desexed before she does go into season her 'bits' should stay quite smallish.

Here is a male dog, please note the penis (and it's location) -

Assuming you were able to identify it, you will already know why we are all astounded that you do not know what gender your puppy is.

Just to make sure, here is a pic where my female is showing off her vagina (technically it's the outer-labia but it's referred to as the vagina).

Tbone is sitting here beside me drooling at Molly.:scold::rofl: Then I scrolled up and showed him the big studly red dog and he ran away. :)

I made the mistake a few times when looking at really young pups in a litter (four weeks old) cause I just didn't expect the girly bits to stick out that much!!

 Now I may be bad posting doggy porn, but now we have doggy kiddie porn! :)

Hey BL, Molly says once you've whelped you don't care who sees your bits. After Mum and her other midwives have all spent the day peering between your legs you lose all shame. Just like hooman mummy's. :scold:

awww give the guy a break, I've seen my little nieces when they were hours old and their bits were a lot different to what I expected due to hormones straight after birth. They were disproportionatly big! If the bits aren't quite what he expected, well naturally he'd be a bit confused, and it's easier to get an anonymous opinion over the 'net.

It's been a long time since I've seen girly doggie bits, so I probably would have been none the wiser!

DD that's a beautiful pup you have there, let her meet lots of other doggies so she's a great canine citizen. Can't recommend puppy school highly enough!

Doberdave, its ok buddy. The sticking out bit is actually the wee wee bit. The bit just behind it is her real girly bits. Shes fine...and very cute too.

Is she behaving? Im sure you will do just fine and are very sweet for being concerned.
