I'm going through the health testing checklist. It makes sense to do DNA first cause it's relatively cheap and easy and good for a lifetime. Dogsfevr Posted February 16, 2025 Share Posted February 16, 2025 (edited) Most in NZ use Massey but the greater majority use LABOKLIN VETERINARY DIAGNOSTIC LABORATORY (UK) Cambridge Uni in the UK as well . ellz Posted March 30 Share Posted March 30 I used InfogeneNZ to DNA profile and test for parentage on a potentially dual-sired litter last year. X-rate was favourable, it was only about $44 each for the 6 tests that I had done (3 adults, 3 puppies). Can't complain about the speed...they received the swabs on the 27 November and the results were in my inbox on the 5 December. I've just ordered tests for my remaining two breeding dogs. All of my dogs will then be tested with InfogeneNZ and it'll be up to DogsVic or whoever else to deal with it if they need to compare them to an Orivet (or other testing company) test. They should really have thought it all through better when they endorsed the two major players but apparently forgot that they're not the same company and people won't all test with the same company anyway.
