My boy got one 2 years ago, very small so I had it checked just a fatty lump and not worth removing, each year when they go for there check ups I get it checked again, this year as it had grown my vet re checked it and emptied it out so you can hardly feel it now.

  9. OF WHAT ANIMAL DO I SPEAK? by Patty Letawsky Their love is like no other, their heart as pure as gold. Yet while going on a friendly walk, they're faced with stares of cold. They're so very close to human, in how they act and what they do. Unless you've known their devoted love, it's impossible to explain to you. They are greatly more misunderstood than any other breed. We tend to punish this loyal dog instead of mankind's deeds. They are always and forever clowns with a wish for center stage. Yet while displaying this sense of humor most people disengage. They, oh, so want to make new friends, and run and jump and play. Yet when they happily approach, most people shy away. Often I've seen children poke, or hop on for a ride. And when I felt they might get mad, they've only beamed with pride. I've seen these children yank and pull, with nary a reaction. Yet media's not interested, unless they've put someone in traction. When other dogs have made the news, this breed's name they affix. But when this brave dog saves the day, they call him "Boxer mix." They love to snuggle up real close, to give lots of loves and kisses, Yet they suffer more than any, from unfair prejudices. Their tails wag hard and hips twist, too, more so than other mutts. So those of us who know the breed, we call them "wiggle-butts." What animal do I speak of, Whose love is so unique? If you've truly known one, you know of whom I speak. There is no creature on this Earth who will ever make you merrier. The animal I do speak of --it's the American Pit Bull Terrier.
  10. I can answer that, my boy is long haired and it works really well, doesn't even pant on a hot day while wearing one and exercising

    Fitzy

What a beautiful tribute So sorry for your loss Labsrule Run free at the bridge Fitzy, you may be gone but will never be forgotten.
  13. If a dog is getting recurrent hotspots I would be looking at diet and the efficiency of it's immune system. There are alot of natural remedies for hotspots and what works for one dog may not necessarily work for another
  14. Another one who recommends Werribee Dog Obedience Club, great bunch of people and very helpful instructors

  19. Chewy very sorry for your loss, Elliot was a beautiful and dignified old soul Hopefully soon the tears will turn to smiles with all the wonderful memories you had together It doesn't matter how long they are with us it is never long enough
  20. Chewy thinking of you and Elliot tonight. Trust your gut instinct and I hope he passes over in your loving arms very peacefully. It doesn't get easier with time, I know this, our 22 year old cat passed away in my arms last year, she had been with us so long and it hurt like heck as it does with each of our beloved animals, it never gets easier.
  21. What a grand old man he is and hugs to you at this very sad time
  22. God Bless Cassie God's Garden God looked around his garden, And found an empty place. He then looked down upon the earth, And saw your tired face. He put his arms around you, And lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never, Get well on this earth again. He saw the road was getting rough, And the hills were hard to climb. So he closed your weary eyelids, And whispered, "Peace be thine." It broke our hearts to lose you, But you didn't go alone. For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. -----Author Unknown
