  1. Anyone got any idea what the grounds are like... I have been there before and remember it being quite muddy in the carpark area at the back.... should I expect something similar... or worse if I decide to turn up tomorrow?
  2. You'll be fine, let the steward know you are a new exhibitor. Babies are easy, if they win their class they have to go in for baby of breed if there is one of the opposite sex, if not or they beat the opposite sex, they have to go in at the end for baby in group, which is judged directly after best in and runner up in group. If your baby is lucky enough to win that, then they go in for baby in show. It's once they get into minor that it can become confusing with "challenges" etc. Plenty of time before Sydney Royal to learn though. I have goldies and a longhair weimaraner, however I'm mostly just showing the goldies at the moment. My longhair comes out every few shows though
  3. Don't worry, I was like that too only a couple of years ago :D
  4. no worries. If you show in Sydney I will probably see you around the gundog ring. Good luck with her.
  5. No, she isn't eligible... sorry what breed? Probably should clarify that... she has to be 3 months unfortunately, not 12 weeks.
  6. Got mine too. OMG is all I have to say, 56 in the gundog group and 19 of those are goldens!!!!
  7. I cut it fine when posting my entries, I won't be surprised if they didn't get there on time, I haven't got numbers yet and my cheque hasn't been presented either..... I also haven't received my entry back to say sorry too late. Not sure if I can go now anyway
  8. Now that you say that I just checked the NSW one.... and it is there too!!!
  9. Wow - well done, thats great news, congrats!!
  10. Congrats Bel. Yes, it rained as the Pointers were going in, was pretty much over though by the time my longhair Wei had to go in though, not that it worries her.
  11. Well thankfully it didn't rain too much today, very muggy and sticky though. Lots of little swimming pools tempting the dogs that like to play in puddles... aka most gundogs.
  12. Thanks for that, so both the Toledo and the Trek can have... leaking issues... by the sounds of that.
  13. When I went out at about 4:30pm there were puddles everywhere, the main pathway was under about an inch of water between the first two rings for about 2 or 3m. I fear for some of the gazebos that were already up and have roofs on, if there's too much rain they may pool and break. I left my roof off for that reason!! The carpark was also a bit of a mud pit in places!
  14. Yes, it will be raining a lot tomorrow. I am going out tonight to put the gazebo up, it is a big show, but if its very wet there will probably be a few absentees. You should be able to get a spot tomorrow, but it may not be next to the ring... there will be room somewhere though for your gazebo. There are also a couple of rings with undercover which may not be used that you could set up under if you are really early.... I wouldn't rely on that though
  15. I hope to have a new longhair towards the end of the year.... LOTS of IFs to happen first though...
  16. Thanks Rysup - much appreciated. Hope the weather is a bit better tomorrow than it is today.
  17. Thx PC :D - How many in the gundog group?
  18. Or is it just me that seems to have an unreliable post-person?
  19. Thanks all. Which is the one that has a bad reputation for leaking. I know it's not the cruising canines one, can't remember if its the trek or the toledo? Or is it both of them
  20. First port of call would be Liz Molnar - Dobro, also Carla O'Donnell - Aneiraby
  21. I did, I know the price, I just don't know if that is a GOOD price or if another brand the same size etc would be cheaper even after the discount is applied etc or more expensive..... Basically I have no idea how much a new 4 berth - of any brand costs.
