If you can, go see Karen Hedberg in North Richmond for a second opinion... it could be panosteosis (intermittent lameness / growing pains), or it could be OCD... or it could be niether. I think x-rays would be required if it has been on and off for so long. Diet can play a part in it, if he has grown too quickly it can cause issues. I don't feed puppy food anymore, but a good quality adult dry food with reasonably low protein levels - 22%-24%.

We ended up going today, feather duster again today, the boy who beat my little man is gorgeous Grounds were horrid E&H - a few spills, and trying to get into the gundog ring from the grandstand was terrible - mud and water everywhere. The working dog rings towards the back didn't seem as bad though.... but I could be wrong

Thanks Pav Lova... I expected Bluebreeze would of been there. Todays judge has goldens so it MAY of drawn a bigger entry than normal. The boy is bathed anyway. Think he needed it judging by the colour of the water!!!

Pav Lova - So if I only enter the breeders membership number down the bottom under Exhibit and ownder/leasee details - it won't add her to her breeders list of exhibits up the top? Her breeder has her litter-mate and they have similar names, just didn't want her added to her list of exhibits incase she accidently enters the wrong dog. ETA: Just answered my own question, just did a test, it added it to her list of exhibits. So I went in and removed it.

OK, so I have a dog who is staying with me for a while, she isn't registered to me but I will be showing her. Her breeder said to put her under her membership number, but our address.... is it possible to do this via ozentries, or will it start sending her breeders entries to my address? Do I put my name in at all anywhere, I've never had to do this before, manually or electronically. It's going to be a pain in the proverbial if I have to do entries manually for her. Her first show will be about the middle of October... guess we are spoilt in NSW when lots of shows are offered via ozentries.

I'm currently feeding Advance, have raised him on adult food. Eagle Pack is pretty good too. Friends raise there's on Pro Plan and I did that with my older golden 5 years ago. Surpercoat puppy I find has too high a protein level which can cause issues.... How old is the puppy?

I like Pet Plan because there are no exclusions for goldens, some won't insure for Hip Dysplasia in goldens and other breeds, or atleast they didn't. It may of changed now.

My understanding is...if he is on petplan, the waiting period will not apply, also, you can upgrade or downgrade whenever you want. BUR as others have said, call them and ask I've claimed two lots of pet insurance with different dogs using pet plan, no problems at all.... I had my eldest on RSPCA,.... he got a hotspot from where I was putting frontline on him... they wouldn't pay it because the cause was the frontline - which is classed as regular treatment or som BS. He's now not on anything but I plan to put him on pet plan soon.

AG - yep, completely understandable, it is hard to get everything right, doesn't matter if it's your first or your 5th lol. How I brought up my first golden 18 years ago is completely different to how I am now bringing them up, foods change, research on different problems change etc and how to avoid them. You never stop learning We put ours on two feeds a day from about 3months.

whats the comfortis for.... is that fleas... if so, are you still going to be using advantage? Don't think he needs both. Mine have always had x3 vaccinations, we take them out and about after the second one though. 14kg is too heavy for an 11 week old. Male goldens should be putting on approx 1kg a week from the age of 8 weeks... up to 20 weeks... and then decreases from there.
