Didn't you guys hear her barking her head off?? Not surprisingly she was exhausted on the way home and I didn't hear a peep out of her Thanks for the compliments about her... even though I still think she is evil, I am very proud of how far she has come even though we aren't quite there yet
-
blah blah blah I hate you You guys know how I said I was going to fast Daisy? Yeah. Well... I felt bad. And gave her about 1/3 of a cup of Cherry's Eagle Pack Holistic biscuits at dinner time I am so soft But I will definitely not be feeding her tomorrow morning!
-
If they aren't that motivated by toys, bring their favourite food treats instead Daisy can be prey driven and has a couple of favourite toys but because I work her in food drive I will only be bringing food.

My staff have given up on calling me a dog freak, its more like "Oh your having a day off? Going to a dog show/event are you?" What else would one do on their day off?

Plans For The 2009 Christmas Break
huski replied to ness's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Will continue Daisy's drive training and hope to have her up to CCD/CD standard by early next year -
Yay, it's finally home time Everyone at work asked me what I was going to do on my day off, they all think I'm a dog freak
-
The feeding is ok, Quen doesn't care if he gets fed or not. But the energy? How much energy do you want??? When it comes to drive training the more the better Yep
-
Daisy doesn't know it yet, but she was fed this morning and is being fasted tonight and tomorrow morning before we get to CT... I don't know if I will survive The Hungry Beagle Steve you can use Daisy's energy when she's sitting in her crate barking her head off tomorrow morning

I'm giving myself two hours just to be on the safe side, whereis is telling me it is more like 1hr 30 whereas google is telling me 1hr 50 minutes I try not to exercise Daisy before training, it makes her more keen
-
I need to get dressed, walk the dogs, feed the dogs, have breaky, and then leave - that takes me 1 hour 30 mins. My GPS said it's only going to be 2 hours from Dayboro, can that be right? it takes me nearly an hour to get to the airport and then just another hour? I gotta drop my sis of at Surfers before coming to CT. Well I live near Brissy airport and google maps and whereis.com are both telling me it will take me 1hr 50 minutes - so I'd give yourself a bit more than 2 hours to get there (check on googlemaps or whereis, I find they are both reasonably accurate). I will get up, get dressed, feed all animals bar Daisy, put her in the car and go
-
LOL, I'm planning to leave Brissy at 6.30am so I'll probably get up at 6.15
-
Today is going to go sooooooo slowly
-
of how evil she is I'm sure
-
At least if Ella can't do her demo Daisy won't have a well trained dog to be compared to
-
Oh good point Seita! I'm assuming it's 9.30 Queensland time?? YAY
-
9.30am I am going to try and get there around 9 but I'm dubious as to what time I'll actually get there as I am terrible driving somewhere new - I've been to CT once before but I wasn't the one driving and it was ages ago ha ha yeah, i know what you mean. I'll try for 9 as well. What time does it finish? Im thinking of maybe staying the night somewhere down there and going to a dog friendly beach (if i can find any) I think it goes til 4. ETA: Just checked, 4.30

If you go to whereis.com.au or look on Google maps, it will tell you how long it will take from your house to Camp Tailwaggers - but I'm not far from Brissy airport and it takes me around two hours
-
It's all undercover luckily! Last year Steve's workshop was at the start of November and it was FREEZING at Camp Tailwaggers (even though it had been warm in Brissy).
-
At least it will be good for laughs

You in the nauhty corner Maree??? Glad to hear you are looking forward to the workshop too Steve I can't wait... three sleeps feels like forever!

2010 Training/title/goals Wish List
huski replied to Seita's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Hmmm at this stage it's not looking like that's ever going to happen No no that energy is good, it means he has lots of potential if you harness it in the right way Goooo never growing a brain -

And channel it before he gets a brain/matures into a sensible adult! -
I know how you feel about getting stressed! I used to feel like that quite often, and the sheer frustration because you know they can do it. What I found was best with Daisy and I was taking a break from obedience club and focusing on getting her focus in lower levels of distractions before working our way up to higher levels of distraction like obedience club. Most obed classes are around an hour long which is a long time to ask for focus and even now I would never ask Daisy to work for that long. I also found that going to club week after week was useless unless I was doing lots of work not just at home but in other distracting environments, otherwise you are going from home (low distraction) to club (very high distraction) which can be really hard on the dog.

Miss B, I imagine Kyza would make a great agility and obedience dog, he's so keen and has so much energy!!
