  1. ewwww looks like it's whole....I could just cope with the smell when defrosting and feeding minced green tripe, but as far as cutting it up for them as well - sorry Mim looks like you're on your own there ;) I'll never get rid of it ;) I'll take it if you're not too far from me Please tell me you live close to North Perth?

  3. http://www.thepetchef.com.au/scart/product...?cat=2&pg=3 If you scroll down that page it's the third item. It's taking up valuable space in my freezer
  4. Yeah I think it's sheep stomach. It's called honeycomb because it has the hexagonal pattern on it. I am just calling it that because the pet chef did
  5. Hey Perthies I have a 1kg bag of green honeycomb tripe free to good home. My dogs don't like it so I'm giving away this unopened bag from the pet chef. Any takers? ETA It's frozen and has been for about 2 weeks.
  6. Yep I know for sure that WA has to, as showdog has said. Interesting re: SA. I wonder if the SA canine council has plans to change that in the future.
  7. All this time I thought all states required an exam. Which ones don't? I think it should be nationwide to require an exam.
  8. I met one at the vet a few years ago and his proud owner was telling me about him. They sound like great dogs and so cute.
  9. I hope Cody perks up soon Try some milk in water to get him drinking, that gets my guys going when they are a bit sick. Lectade is also good to have on hand and I think there was a thread on DOL not long ago about using human electrolyte stuff on dogs. Found the thread http://www.dolforums.com.au/index.php?show...207013&st=0 there's a few ideas you could try to get him drinking.
  10. I live with multiple dogs. When I had 4 there were 2 females and 2 males. One of the males was still young so hadn't yet been desexed. We had no issues except that if the girls were around each other at meal time then the younger one would challenge the older one and she'd get really worked up. Simple solution; separate the dogs at meal time. No more issues. My old girl has since died and we currently have 2 desexed males and a desexed female and everything's fine. I believe that it's due to their personalities/temperaments though, not their genders. I am sure I'd have the same balance amongst my pack even if they were all boys, all girls, 2 girls and 1 boy, what ever. One dog is dominant and the other two are fine and submit to her and then amongst those two there is one who is more submissive than the other so they have their ranks sorted out and there's no tiffs. I would not add another dominant dog to the mix though.
  11. Don't complain about the ID thing! There are some of us here who never ever get ID'd I know I don't look 18 but even when I was younger I always looked young but still didn't get ID'd! Oh how I would love to be ID'd :p You can come to my store RS and I'll ask for ID. Most people get really pissed off when you ask for ID and they are older than about 21. The law states we have to ask for people who look under 25yrs though. I had one woman who was 25 but looked a lot younger and she gave me such a dirty glare when I asked and then made a big huff about having to get it out of her wallet and I told her to take it as a compliment and she just ignored me woops.
  12. Months ago I saw an ad on gumtree and she was rehoming the older male lab, Henry. Woops should have read all the other posts beforehand
  13. Yep they are desired in flyball for that exact reason! Short and fast
  14. I've wanted to do flyball for so long! This will be awesome. No doubt the WA DOL team will become the best in the nation :)
  15. me either no more for at least 10 years after this one That's what they all say So glad your getting the puppy, screw the council laws.
  16. You guys are terrible. I just placed my first clean run order I wouldn't even know the site existed if it wasn't for you bunch of addicts! I only got free shipping stuff because I'm a cheapskate. I got a toy for each dog, those stuffing free ones. Got a fox for Daina, raccoon for Sarge and a skunk for Muddy Also got the puppy sounds CD because I've been looking for one for ages! ETA: How long has it taken your packages to arrive? I'm thinking 2-3 weeks maybe?
  17. I don't think it can be stopped except if you separate the dogs but I don't think you want to do that. Muddy drives us crazy with his barking during play. He has a really annoyingly high pitched bark too but I don't want to stop them all from playing. So sad that dogs can't be dogs in their own home.
  18. Why would it be awkward? I would think it would make it easier as they'd be more understanding since they know you. We have a nuisance cat. Every night without fail, between the hours of 7-10pm, "Strange Cat" as we have dubbed it, comes and sits in our driveway or around the side of our house and yowls and yowls and yowls. We've never been able to wet it with the hose or get close to catching it as it bolts as soon as it hears/sees somebody. Neighbours thought it was our old boy and didn't believe us when we said it wasn't him but now that he's no longer alive they have accepted that it's not him and they too are pissed off because it's bloody annoying. Strange Cat has also come into our house and sprays all over the place. ETA we have no idea where it lives and the council says they don't have cat traps so can't lend us one. We have no idea how we are going to stop the cat.
  19. I won't quote Sarge's price because he had undescended testes so it's not relevant. Muddy was done a few months ago and it was about $120, if he weighed over 15kg it would have gone up $20, not sure what the price would be for 20kg.
  20. I pay $55 dollars online from Priceless Pets. Great stuff, love comfortis http://www.pricelesspets.com.au/products/comfortis

    Water

What I did was I got a shell pool and got my pup used to doing in and out of it, I made it a game with lots of praise. Once he saw the pool as something fun I added a tiny bit of water. Like a puddle in the center. He was fine with that so next time I added enough water to cover the tops of his feet. Kept playing our game of getting in and out with lots of praise and just by slowly increasing the amount of water he now LOVES water. I did the same with my girl and she is even more water obsessed than him I think. She loves to go swimming. My younger boy hates water and no amount of play and encouragement can change that I think He gets such a look of disgust on his face if he gets splashed by one of the other dogs.
  22. Raw here but if I had to feed a dry food it would be Royal Canin.
