Honestly, it sounds normal..... We have Koolies, and KoolieX Kelpies. They have mouths like a whale... open WAY up. When they're working .. and panting, they gulp& slurp... and dribble... and can't seem to pant fast enough :p they do this from a few months old, to into their teens ...
-
our three dogs are walking around outside.. panting.it is only about 23 degrees. I just took one other dog for a run/swim... she threw herself down on her side... and is puffing away ... Panting is also more frequent during periods of humidity.. Where are you situated, Nick Menai ?? Also... if you can post a photo of your dog when he is doing this?? It is difficult over the 'net.. where we can't see the dog's face,or posture.. etc. Are his ears up, or back along his head? Is he still wagging his tail? Is his mouth stretched wide, or just hanging open? is his mouth area clean? Is he dripping saliva? Is there froth around his mouth? Is his tongue pink? As I said... You can always visit another vet... take your Xray copies, and notes on the medication pup had for his bronchitis... and see if there is a more detailed explanation given .

That sounds perfectly normal Dogs pant firstly, as they don't sweat- so if they need to cool down, or react to a stressful situation, they pant ! Our working dog pups will throw themselves down on the ground and pant long & loud when they are tired . My dog ,hamlet pants when he is worried,,, or when he is excited (a lot of the time)... and when he's hot ... a lot of the time, as he is a crazy, running around dog.... If you are not happy - you can always get a second opinion.... Maybe that would set your mind at ease Personally he sounds normal.. he runs, his body temperature rises, he pants to cool off! If he is happy to run, and is eating, has had a vet check, and seems to be acting normally... don't panic.

That's good!

Wishing him a speedy recovery

Oh.. and don't just chop&change food..... your little puppy's stomach is still not developed properly.. ...and she may well get a nasty case of the runs ... NOT what she needs. they can go downhill very quickly, being small. Just mix a tiny bit of the new food in... tomorrow add a tiny bit more... and so on. better to be safe than sorry.

rish... on this forum, there seem to quite a number of dogs who cannot tolerate GRAINS, and/or BEEF. Supercoat puppy has these two as the first ingredients. Your vet may well be right, in that the protein levels, fat levels etc are a good blend for your dogs... but they may not have thought of your dogs being allergic to some ingredients!! What plants do you have in your yard, or where the dogs are walked??? Here... have a little read.. HERE HERE

if she doesn't even have all teeth-- she must be very young. Good for you !! Glad she is enjoying her meat and goats milk :D Looking forward to photos!

Good news -
Milk which comes from goats it is MUCH easier digested than other milk... and great for babies/convalescents. Your poor little pup should still be with its mother At present....I would be feeding 4 small meals a day... of good quality chicken mince, some bonnie puppy, some goats milk, or plain yogurt... amd some chicken wings to chew

That gorgeous wise 'old dog ' face Glad she went at home ,with you there..
-
If you have taken responsibilty for this dog... it is up to you to make sure it is healthy. Any new dog should be taken to a vet for a checkup...advice on flea/worm control, etc... Oh, and . Cynthia =\ is a despondent face the licking could be pain or anxiety. The dog needs a vet check.

Pups can have bones as soon as they have teeth She can have chicken wings now Whole and raw. The best food? Depends on your dog.. your pocket, and whether you want to feed a premium processed food... or a raw diet, or just an ordinary processed food. Introduce new food gradually, so her system has a chance to get used to it :D Dogs ,as a rule do not need grains or milky things. Their bodies aren't made to easily digest such things... they can, and do.. millions of dogs, every day.. but there are more suitable foods ! My choice would be a fresh raw diet. Treats? You don't 'have' to use food for training... but piecxes of her normal food..or tiny pieces of cooked chicken.. or liver treats, or cheese, maybe?? TINY pieces only..or else when mealtimes are there.. she won't be hungry!!

Does to me as well
